P&G ESaver problems - new policy?

Yet again had a problem with P&G esaver coupons - I had the Gillette Mach 3 loaded, thought I'd get a great deal using the $2 MOC but, what a surprise, it didn't take the P&G off. I e-mailed P&G, and this is the response I got:

Please make sure you do not use the eSAVER coupons on
any sale items because eSAVER coupons cannot be combined with any paper/
manufacture coupons and other store offers or discounts (sale items).

What! My trip to Kroger today was a complete disaster (they were completely out of organic chicken, had no Key Lime Pie whips, didn't have the size sugar I wanted..... I went to Randalls afterwards and got everything I needed). I think Kroger have really gone downhill, and if they aren't going to allow P&G in conjunction with MOC then I will just stop shopping there.

hmmmm I did this deal last week and didn't have any problems with the e-saver q coming off and combined it with the paper q. Did they scan your Kroger card first?

The eSaver coupon comes off once the "total" key is hit. Any paper coupons are scanned after the "total" key is hit.

Your problem is probably with your kroger card number. If you print the list of eSaver coupons on your Kroger card on the P&G/Kroger site you will see your Kroger card number at the top. I think you should compare the number on the list you print from the P&G/kroger site and your actual in hand kroger plus card.

If you don't have your actual card any more, use your printed list to take to the store and ask them to type in that number.

I use the printed kroger card number at the top of that printed list because I registered using my phone number and some how it doesn't match my real kroger card number.

That is so ate up, because who would even ever use esaver if you couldn't combine it with Mfg qs? I have never had any trouble using both, thankfully, or I would never even mess with esaver.

I've used both without a problem... just did it tonight, actually and it was fine.

I agree with Amni.
The computer doesnt know you are using paper coupons, so there seems to be something wrong with your registered card.

the only problem I had was I did not buy the right thing. I brought a bigger size vs the small one for the esaver. sorry you are having problems

Same exact thing happened to me w/the Gillette Mach3. On hindsight my Kroger card # doesn't match the number at the top of my eSAvers list either. But I thought I used my card # to register for eSavers. :shrug7:P&G customer service hasn't responded to me yet. I also waited a long time @ Kroger for an assistant mgr to help but couldn't wait any longer with my kids. It WAS halloween though and they were really busy that day. I might just return the razors and try again next time.

I've only tried combining esaver and paper MC once and they rejected it. Said I couldn't do both. I asked that they call a manager and she told me the same thing, but overrode it "just this once". I just figured I won't go to that Kroger's again. Hope it works next time. and I just checked: my keyring card, big card and esaver accounts all match. This happened about two weeks ago on the Herbal Essence deal.

I had both the Mach & Venus loaded and went last week to get the Mach, which I did, and used a mfg q. with it, it did take off the esaver, but when I look at my P&G account it shows the Venus as redeemed and the Mach as still active.
