Does your store double/triple?

I only recently realized that I was missing good deals because I was holding onto my coupons and waiting for a sale, when the regular price with doubles/triples was a great deal already!

Here's some deals I did recently at Kroger:
cottonelle 4pk reg. $1.19 - .50 doubled = .19
underwood canned chicken/deviled ham reg.$1.09 -.50 doubled - .09
Hormel canned chicken reg.$1.65 - .35 tripled = .64
Pillsbury crescents sale $1.67 -.35 tripled = .62
Land O Lakes butter sale $1 -.50 doubled = Free

Thanks for all of your advice guys, I am glad that I am not the only one stuck here!

I suppose I will have to start shopping at other stores, I have an HEB and Randalls not too far from me, and of course a WM.

As for the formula, I buy the small condensed cans when I get checks to make overage since even buying the small powder cans with the checks aren't as cheap as the off brand, which I do buy. I buy either WM or Target as they are exactly the same and 1/2 the cost.

I just started looking at the other forums today but unfortunatly they do have matchups for HEB or Randalls. I got the ads yesterday so I am trying to look through myself.

Thanks again for the help! Any more ideas/suggestions will be appreciated! :)

Just keep at it. Even after almost a year of stockpiling I still have weird amounts of a strange combination of items. If you're out of formula checks trade for them. Ask family members to sign up for them for you to use, sign up for brands you don't use to trade for ones you can. Think a bit outside the box and you can find plenty of ways to get what you need.

I will have to look in my records, but I know there is an 800 number you can call to get coupons for store brand formula. Maybe the number is even on the can. From what I remember, you can call it every month for the coupons.

For Randalls, look at the Safeway forum and they talk about the great deals.

Coupon matchups are done for HEB but their usually are not too many matchups due to the way HEB works.

I having the same issue as BeckyCookie. I'm getting free stuff and good deals but more often than not, other brands are cheaper without coupons. After spending hours actually finding the coupons and organizing them and then getting to the store only to find there are better deals without them makes it frustrating. BUT... I am going to work on stockpiling soaps, paper products, etc.

Also, if there is a printable coupon out there for something you buy or something you want and know is a great deal .... send that link to everyone you know that will print coupons for u!!! I always send out links and ask my friends/family to print for me, then they mail them out to me. It's a win win

It's possible to eat healthy, u just have to wait for it sometimes. There was organic no hormones vegetarian fed ground beef at kroger the other day and it was marked down to 2.99. There was a $2 peelie on it. So .99cents for 1lb ground hardly any fat beef, but I paid even less b/c I had overage on a few other coupons.

Just hang in there, sometimes I know it gets overwhelming reading about peoples deals and thinking GEEZ... why can't I DO that?!. Just don't get down, it really really takes awhile to get it and figure out how to work the best deals for you and your family.

Wm doesn't always have the best prices, Kroger is expensive but when they have sales + coupons it's a WAY better deal. There are pasta coupons out now that makes it .50 at walmart. But a few months ago Kroger had a great deal on pasta and it was free if you had the coupon!

So just wait and it will come

I also struggle with groceries. I've conquered CVS and WAlgreens but am a little overwhelmed when it comes to grocery stores. There's just too much and I'm not that familiar with prices. I've started a price book to help me be better prepared when I grocery shop...that is I can figure out what the deals are BEFORE I head out to the store. Thanks Granma Lewis for what you said about stockpiling and buying multiples. It was very helpful and I rep'd you.

I also do the same as G Lew...put a cooler in the trunk mark out the shortest route then go $5 here 4 there adds up....remember rainchecks too!! I'm so annoyed when things are on sale and not on the shelves.

We also have a save alot here in town that has cheap produce ( the basics ) you may want to check for one in your area.
