Help me figure this out....

got 18 bottles of Herbal Essence for $.75. but I don't know why the total came out this way


first order got 6- register took off $6 then i used 3 $3/2 from PG so my total was $.50

2nd order got 6- register took off $3 and cashier had to do $3 manually- then i used 3 $3/2 my total was $.25

3rd order got 6- register didn't take anything off cashier manually took off $6 then i used 3 $3/2 my total was $.00

only thing I can think of is that you are supposed to pay tax on the original $ from pg

Sometimes with Kroger automatic savings promos, they still charge for tax. This is actually illegal in the state of TX, but are you really gonna argue over .25 or .50, lol. I usually just let it go, not worth the time it would take to explain it to about 20 managers before they realize it. Now, if you really really want, I do have an email with the actual law about tax and coupons that I would be happy to provide anyone, but again, it would cost more in time then it is worth.

So long story short in answering your question, yes, it is a tax issue. They don't program their computers right sometimes for these promos

Thanks ZM....I was just curious as to why the different totals each time. And you are right I didn't argue when I went back to get 18 more bottles. :o)

That's awsome. I tried this deal this morning I got 6 bottles of HE and the cash register took off $3 and I told the cashier "shouldn't another 3 come off since I bought 6?" and she said i don't know go to customer service. SO I went to customer service and told the lady my situation she then got the kroger ad in front of her and said "it says limit 3 per transaction" thats when I told her it was "limit 3 REWARDS for a total of $9 per transaction" and she seemed annoyed. So she called the store manager over and 30 minutes later he said "ok we owe her $3". Ugh irritating but I got all three for .50! woo hoo!!
