Do you pay taxes on food?
Do you pay taxes on pre-coupon or post-coupon prices?

Tax on food should only be the 4% for state sales tax (not parish). Tax is usually before coupons. Store coupons may be different, I'm not sure.

Food tax is 4%. tax is pre-coupon at the grocery stores. I've figured at CVS, tax is based after ecbs or other cvs type cpn, so it doesn't matter what order you give the coupons in, the computer automatically figures it out.

Thanks for the info! I wanted to be slightly educated on your tax laws so I don't just assume you are like TX. I know we don't have as many LA folks here, but want to include you guys in the deals, so I will certainly make the disclaimer in the future that for LA, tax will vary more.

Tax used to be 8%,I think,but when they raised our income tax with the "Stelly Tax" they lowered it to 4%.Sounds good,but cities and parishes(counties) quickley voted increases of their own that raised tax on most items right back to 8%,except for food and I think prescriptions.
