Pert Plus w/Botanicals $.19

Kroger has the Pert Plus w/Botanicals for 3.19. With $3 coupon, it's $.19! There is also a mail in rebate attached to it, making it better than free.

Yesterday, I combined this with the Planter's deal.

9 Koolaids $0.20
3 peanuts $2.89
5 Pert Plus $3.19

Coupons
3x planters $3.00
5x Pert $3.00

Total was $2.42. I had a $2.50 Catalina, so I threw in a candy bar. For some reason there was still an overage. Anyway, I walked out with the stuff and a brand new $4.00 Catalina!!! Awesome.

Overage is occuring because the catalinas are scanning as taxable, so you are actually getting $2.50 + tax off each time you use it.
In TX, you don't pay taxes until after coupons so your order had no tax. If you look at your receipt, you will see a negative in the tax line item.

That does help. This was putting me in slight panic mode at the register. I thought I was figuring out my transactions to the tee, but then I had to throw in a candy bar or two just to be back on the positive side. Now, I'll know to figure in the tax value of the catalina.
