Kroger Atlanta Gas Promo: Save up to $1/gallon! 5/22-6/18

Kroger Atlanta's FB page just dropped this tidbit:

Starting May 22nd and going through June 18 Kroger is letting you save up to $1.00 PER GALLON by simply using your Kroger plus card and fueling up at any Kroger fuel center. Super easy, when you shop you accumulate points. Every 100 points equals 10 cents off per gallon, the best part is that Kroger is allowing you to accumulate 1,000 points and use them all in one fill up. That's a savings of $1.00 PER GALLON for that entire fill up. You receive 1 point for every $1 you spend at Kroger.

It gets better. If you purchase any gift card at Kroger (with the exception of a Kroger gift card, Green Dot cards, MoneyPaks and 1-2-3 REWARDS Visa prepaid debit card and ReCharge Card) you receive double points. In other words, if you are looking to get a new TV at Target, come to Kroger and purchase a Target gift card and receive double points for it. A $500 gift card earns you 1,000 fuel points.

Now we're talkin'! That piddly 10 cents a gallon wasn't even making a dent. If you still have your Kroger pharmacy coupon flyer from a few Sundays ago, there was a $25 GC transfer offer on the back page. Each script gives you 50 points. I've been transferring pet meds back and forth from Target ($10 GC transfer offer), much to the pharmacies' delight... not! =]

I don't think I could spend $1k in groceries within a month, even with prescriptions.

We got gas today and got .30/gal taken off so it must go in increments. So if you have $300 in groceries/RX it takes .30/gal all at once instead of .10 per trip. Or at least that what I think it does.

I had the same thing happen to me. I wonder if it's possible to talk to the attendant beforehand and split the discount up?

Got some Home Depot gift cards, which give quadruple points and racked up a $.40/gallon discount! DH shops there waaaay more than Krogers so it's a win-win for both of us!

I thought that the amt only went up when you hit $1000 as well. BUT that's NOT the case! At the end of may I had over 700 pts with them. I went to get gas, and it asked if I wanted to use $0.70 off per gallon. I was surprised, but grateful! I got it for $2.92 that day!
