Big Dog what part of Atlanta?
Mod please don't move to HUTC. I need to talk to Atlanta based Kroger shoppers.
So last night I went to Kroger at 8:30. Nobody was in the store. I've NEVER had problems with them.
They limit ALL coupons (of same type) to 10.
But, last night they gave me the only 2 of same type of internet. Showed me a booklet. In fact a very bored police officer that Kroger hires for Thanksgiving weekend, came over to see the problem.
Cashier was following the rules. Manager was...but, I think it STUPID!
I was buying 3 muffin mixes and 1 cookie mix for the "deal". I wasn't informed of this "change" until the last day of the sale (we all had flu the last 2 weeks, I couldn't get away till then otherwise I would have split it up and came back. Plus, husband won't let me get more then a week supply till we sale the house. :( )
Though not smart. I got irritated of the police officer constantly watching me. I hate people watching me, I'd make a poor movie star. (He was bored obviously, nobody was there). I said to the officer "You know what I mean they always change the rules for coupoining. What do you think of these couponing rules?" Well he went "OH, another couponer mad at the rules!" and quickly walked away. LOL
Seriously, has anybody ever "spamed" Kroger corporate with e-mails/letters/phonecalls. Explaining how goofy 2 per day is? Or have national do not coupon at a certain store day/week? I don't mind rules to keep product in stock/prevent fraud, but, the coupons had different security codes, they are not pdf's.
Anybody else think this is STUPID? Or had trouble with them? There are some days I understand COMPLETELY why others give up on couponing.
Am I crazy to think 2 is not a reasonable amount? Are there any other "rules" that have changed since I've stopped "stocking up"?

The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time.
I usually have 10-20 of each insert. If you want to trade just ask. From Atlanta
Not I'm in Warner Robins, 2 hours south (Hwy 96 Kroger specifically).
I'm calling the District Manager tomorrow. I think it is insane that 3 coupons is too much. Maybe for a family of 1 -2 (...maybe).
But, we have 7 in our house. That was a 3 day supply for me. I still have to buy them with or without a coupon (all #2 will eat for breakfast).
Never ever like going in radar zone. But, I'll do it. Publix is just down the street from them. I just don't shop there cause they supress DND5's.

I read recently that the District Manager in your area has changed the rules to limit to 2 like MQ per transaction.
If it were me, I'd let Kroger know that it is an unreasonable limit and a waste of my time to make multiple trips for items my family needs, using coupons that manufacturers reimburse Kroger for and let them know that you will take your business to Publix.
You should give Publix another try. Their deals are consistenly better than Kroger for a wider variety of items (some without MQs even) and try another cashiers. Most near me do not supress the DND5 MQs.
I had the same experience at the Peachtree Pkwy Kroger in Peachtree City but it was actually worse. Not only were they limiting the coupons they refused to take ANY internet coupons. I asked when this started and the cashier said she didn't know but it had been several weeks. I find all this out AFTER the cashier had checked all the groceries. She actually started throwing the internet coupons in the trash. I left a $200+ buggy of groceries (only 4 multiples of vitamin water) sitting there. AND to top that off she was going to refuse to give me my coupons back.............
I called the Kroger at Thomas Crossroads in Newnan and spoke with the manager there and he said come by and see him with my coupons. I got there and they accepted ALL OF THEM with no problem. Guess where I'll be shopping from now on. And if this Kroger starts refusing to take my coupons there's a Publix right next door. The cashiers give you grief there when you use coupons but at least they take them........
I'd probably be frustrated too, but at the same time, I think 2 is actually a reasonable amount, since that's how many you can generally print per computer. I realize people can have multiple computers or have friends print or whatever, but I don't think the rule is unreasonable, but I'd be frustrated too probably. rules stink sometimes...especially when we're spoiled to them not enforcing them usually.
In all honesty - I do not think that a limit of 2 like internet printable coupons is unreasonable. Ethically, that is all we are supposed to get - yes per computer and most of us have more than one computer - still.
If it were 2 like mfg coupons from the paper - then I would have a problem.
More honesty - I quite using internet coupons almost completely because of the level of suspicion they generate, the frustration trying to print, the limits that exist, etc.
I have 6 computers at home, plus 4 more to which I have access. I could print quite a lot of the IPs, but it is too much trouble these days. It doesn't hurt too much to miss those deals. But it will bite when they quit putting inserts in the papers and only have IPs or loadable coupons.

I have 1 computer and technically printed off 6, but, 3 of them got "killed" by my printer pulling out it's ninja self and gobbling up the paper like last weeks turkey.[/QUOTE]
Well, Betty Crocker (the muffin mix I was getting) often has multiple websites you can print 2 from each....coupons.com, smartsource, bettycrocker......a few others that are slipping my memory....
Either way they are reimbursed for them....and I just don't like being considered a dishonest person if I use 3, 4 or 100. If I'm dishonest with 10, I'll be dishonest with 1-2 printed or not printed. I know stop loss....but, I get my everyday groceries from there, sale/no sale, coupons/no coupons (unlike Publix where I get stuff ONLY on sale/coupons, which are really awesome deals). That is a pretty big deal IMO.
I was frustrated with 10 per transaction, but, agreed it was reasonable, as Mega Deals are usually buy 10 deal.
Most know me and know my coupons ALWAYS come back good...it isn't that big of a town. I should be calling the district manager, but, I'm too chicken....I guess when my hubby gets home I'll call today.
I just personally feel that you should be able to do a Mega deal with like items (like 10 Chex Mix's), so if it is a buy 5 mega deal, let me use 5 coupons printed or not. We don't get "good papers" here, very few coupons in the paper (with the P&G exception) we get 3-4 coupons in Val and 7-9 in Smartsource on good weekends. So printables are pretty much the only way to go here if you can't stock up (cause your trying to sell your house, or no room.)
The manager said it was Atlanta (region) wide.
And no offense...really please take none. Honest question....But, if you feel BC said 2 per computer (which I've already stated isn't the case). Why do you buy more then 2 papers? Same people reimbursing. Most people only buy 1 paper. We all know it is advertising to get you "hooked" on something. Same thing with Kroger, why would they accept more then 2 newspaper coupons?

Now THAT is unreal!!!
