This is the response I received from Krogers:

    Dear Ms. Richardson:

Thank you for contacting The Kroger Co. I understand your concern that the Six
Forks store would not accept your coupons. Please see the coupon policy for the
    stores in your area below:

    ATLANTA:
Our coupon policy varies by division. The policy for stores in your area is as
follows. Please note that this policy is our most current; however it is subject
    to change without notice.
The store manager has the right to accept, decline or limit the quantity of
coupons or items used or purchased in a single transaction, by a single
customer, or in a single day.

    Double coupons:

o Manufacturer coupons $.50 or less will be "Doubled" when a Plus Card is used.

    Manufacturer coupons:

o Manufacturer coupons valued at $0.51 or greater will be redeemed at face
    value.

    > This does not apply to "free," Kroger, Catalina, Retail Food Store coupons,
Electronic Coupons on the Kroger Plus card, or items prohibited by law.

    Pharmacy coupons:

o Competitor pharmacy coupons are accepted up to a limit of $500 in a year.

o If a customer can find a lower CASH price for a prescription at a different
pharmacy, we will match that CASH price.

    > This price matching does not apply to any prescriptions purchased with
insurance alone or insurance with co-pay. The customer would have to pay the
entire CASH price on their own.

o LCM or Competitor Coupons may not be used in conjunction with our $4 Generic
    Program.

    General coupon policy:

o Only two (2) internet coupons per manufacturer, per product, per visit, per
    day are accepted.

o Expired manufacturer coupons are not accepted.

o There is a limit of one (1) manufacturer coupon per item

o The amount refunded cannot exceed the price of the item.

I am forwarding your comments to the store manager for review and consideration.
I am sure that they will address and correct any problems with the store's
    coupon policy.

    Sincerely,

The cashier was very nice and said this policy went into affect a couple of weeks ago but she wouldn't be surprised if the policy changed again. Needless to say I am beginning to get very frustrated with Krogers.
I ran into this with one of my Kroger stores, and the one across town did not have the same policy. I was actually told that a person had cleared the shelves, so they made the policy of two like coupons per person per day on the spot when they realized the same woman was doing it every week.

I called Corp., who called the store, who said that was indeed their new policy. The Corp. actually told me to hit'em where it hurts and shop the other store. The manager told the Corp personnel to tell me I could buy as many products as I wanted, but I could only use two like coupons per day. I just shop elsewhere, and I have heard that other couponing friends are doing the same.

Good grief. I hope they don't that at my store.

A couple of weeks ago I had about 20 coupons and my cashier told me that once a woman came through with 2,000 coupons. I asked her if she meant 2,000 actual coupons. She said yes. She went on about how they had to shut down the line and spend all the time with her etc. But I don't know if I believe that. This cashier's English is not perfect so I'm wondering if she meant something besides 2,000 literal coupons. Can you imagine?

OMG!! i know how long it takes to buy around 100 items & have coupons for everything. that takes forever,, i wouldnt even want to imagine how long it would take to scan 2000 items & then scan 2000 coupons.

Maybe she meant $2,000 in coupons? If you bought a coupon hundred items with high values or a lot of frees I could see that. I would try and fly under the radar a bit more though geesh.

Regardless if the coupons scanned or if your cashier/manager allows it you are going against the wording of the coupons of a limit of 4 like coupons per transaction. This is not allowed at Hotcouponworld. We feel strongly that posts here at HCW go by the wording set forth by the manufactures and stores on their coupons and deals.

This time I asked the cashier was this a new policy and was it store specific and was told that they have actually been doing it for a while and it's from "home office"

Today I bought 5 Kandoo wipes and wanted to use 5 coupons. He said he would let me do it this time but policy is that "you can only use 2 coupons per item" I think the cashiers and this store in particular is confused.
The next time you are given a hard time by them, you might want to just have them ring up each transaction individually so that you can use your coupons. They should not have an issue with this, as there is no limit to the number of TRANSACTIONS you can have.....maybe the manager will get "unconfused" really fast when he sees you are serious. LOL
