I used ecoupons w/ paper coupons today- one was even a printable. Kroger in Kennesaw, GA.
A poster on SD this morning mentioned that she had a cart full of cereal, but the cashier asked her if she had loaded EQs to her card and stated that you can't use EQs with paper MQs anymore (supposedly a memo in April). I replied to ask to see the memo.
There's no place that I've seen that state the EQ won't come off if you use a paper MQ. It was the P&G $4 off 4 products that actually got me back into a Kroger (Charmin $3EQ with a $1 roll off with a $1 MQ, Tide EQ with $1/1 MQ with $1 roll off, etc). But this brings me to two questions...
1). My Tampax Pearl $2 EQ didn't roll off and I reported it on Saturday. Response of answering 10+ questions plus scanning my receipt in and emailing back has gotten no response. How long do you wait for stuff like this to be fixed?
2). Would you still Kroger as much as you do if the EQs weren't available? I pretty much didn't set foot inside a Kroger except for 3 day sales until P&G EQs came back.

Well, howdy. I've just spent 30 minutes on the Phone with P&G Esaver.com
Krogers said that this Tampax Pearl EQ was loaded to my card and didn't come off, so it's a P&G Esaver issue. So three days after sending email with all the details, this was their conclusion and they gave me the toll free P&G esaver number.
P&G Esaver Customer Service guy Vince said that you can't use a paper coupon with an E-Coupon...it doesn't work that way. I told him to show me on PGEsaver.com where it states that (as it doesn't state that anywhere). It worked for my Tide and for the Charmin on the 31st. I asked to speak to a supervisor.
Gynea P&G Esaver Supervisor said that E-Coupons are NEVER supposed to come off if you use a paper coupon. I asked her wasn't it false advertising to state that these would come off when you purchase X item (because nothing at P&G Saver states that you can't use a paper coupon with these). I think the REAL issue is that the Tampax Pearl Q was $2/1 and the E-Q for Tampax Pearl was ALSO $2/1 and I guess they can't tell the difference. When my eQs come off, the receipt always has a MC NNNN by it, but they can't tell when a Q is scanned versus electronic?
They are gonna upload $2 to come off the next time I use my Kroger card (I'll be looking for it, as I really don't want to spend another 30 minutes on the phone with PGEsaver. That'll work, but man was it rough to get here.
Doesn't it take the e-coupon off before any MQ are scanned? I think when I go thru Uscan that I always see the e-coupon come off before I hand over the MQ.
Works for me in TX.......

I wouldn't give up on Kroger until it happens again. I have had a Q or two not come off over the past few years, but it never had anything to do with using a paper coupon. It was usually I bought something that wasn't coded correctly. I agree with pp that the eQ comes off directly underneath the item scanned way before it has the chance to know if you will be using paper coupons also. I would chalk it up to a bad trip but not worry unless we see this becoming a pattern.

It worked but not. I forgot all about the .50/1 short cuts and cellfire chex mix coupons I had on my card. I had a .50/2 insert q. It beeped and the register would not take it, the cashier saw that I bought 2 bags and pushed it through.
When my receipt printed I saw the eqs and that was the only reason I could think of as to why the chex mix q beeped.
I finally got my $2, but it was loaded as a "make good" Q.
LOTS of folks on SD say that they aren't allowed to use paper MQs if they have EQs loaded for the same item.
I was just checking the Kroger site today because one of my coupons did not come off, and found on their website that it says you can not use a paper and ecoupon on the same item.
Can I use paper coupons as well as digital coupons on the same item? Limit of one coupon per item. Digital coupons and paper coupons may not be combined on the purchase of a single item.
