At my Kroger today, the cashier saw that I had EQ's come off when she hit "total". (Some were short cuts, some were cell fire). She then went through my paper coupons and took out the ones that were duplicates. So, apparently no more "double dipping"....I can live with that; I do understand why they do this - the paper coupons explicitly state "one coupon per purchase" or something like that. What I don't like is that EQ's 50 cents abd under DO NOT double like their paper counterparts. And while shopping, I have no way to remove a 50 cent EQ in favor of the paper one in my binder. Makes me not want to mess with the EQ's anymore- almost all of them have a paper version.

I rarely load on Krogers card anymore for two reasons, one - they don't double and, two - I forget what's loaded/used etc and it's too much to keep track of.

Coupons are found money - who walks by money on the ground??

So I guess this is a new policy. When I went to load some e-coupons from the Kroger site a few days ago I noticed the fine print about not using a digital coupon and a paper coupon on the same item. I don't think it used to be there. I will not mess with the digital ones anymore either. They don't double and I usually have the same or better in paper anyway.
