WOW, Cheesecake, I'd be writing a complaint letter with her (full) name and entire story, and I'd also be calling daily for followup. That is absolutely, without a doubt, ridiculous, and uncalled for and she is flat out WRONG.
This same thing happened to me on Saturday. As it turns out, the manager was checking me out. She would only give me the price after the discount and the final straw was when my balance was $9 and before I could scan my credit card to pay --- she said that she COULD NOT let me have everything for $9 and that she was going to redo the transaction and do the coupons differently. Then she and the 2 kids bagging started taking all my items from my cart and THROWING them back on the belt. She then started scanning various items and told me I'd have to do separate transactions. I told her I needed to do in increments of 4 and she said that's what she had scanned. She had scanned 6 P&G items and wanted me to pay for that transaction! I told her no, that I wasn't going to add 2 extra P&G items and not get the money off for them. In the end, I told her to cancel my entire order and I ended up putting most of the P&G stuff back on the shelf and going through uscan. As I was checking out at uscan she kept looking at me and talking about me. The original argument with her was that I could not use more than 3 like coupons. BUT -- she considered ANY Old Spice coupon being part of that 3. In other words, I had 2 Old Spice Deo. and 3 Old Spice BW coupons and she said I could only use 3 of those, period. Then, she laid them out on the belt and wanted me to choose which 3 I wanted to use! I tried telling her that they were not identical, but she considered them all Old Spice, so I could only use three. The next Kroger I went to, my total was $110 before coupons and $2.49 after. No problems whatsoever!

My husband had the misfortune of being with me during my first 'big battle' transaction at our WMSC two years ago. But he knows me well and just listens to my rants and agrees with me.Unlike my kids who will get out of the car at a store and say, "Momma! PLEASE don't make a scene!" What they don't realize is that I don't make a scene, but I will calmly discuss things with managers at the register. DD will start bumping me when I do this like she's dying of shame. What they don't know is that is how I learned to stand up for myself, watching my mother (she 'sent' a hotdog back to a vendor at disney once!).
I needed hair color so I took the card with the list of products and it said "Crest toothpaste". Bought one of the $1 tubes of crest and it didn't have the promo sign on it, and sure enough, it wasn't part of the promo. If everything you purchased was part of the promo, which I don't know, then it should be even less. Your 5 b1g1 Gillette BW coupons should have a value filled in of $2.99 according to your price list above. So 5 of those should equal $14.95, not $10. I also don't know if you used the OS BW q's that require purchasing the odor block type of wash and that you purchased the correct type. If you purchased the right item for each q and all the items were part of the promo, then your coupon savings should have been $118.33 using your numbers above.
Good luck explaining this to a manager. They will probably say you should have voided the transaction so that they could fill-in the coupons with the correct amount and get their money back. If it were me, and I LOVE numbers, I would have a spread sheet ready, then the manager would know I wasn't to be blown off. I also have my Kroger region office number in my cell phone (along with WM corp, Target corp, Publix district).

Nanpete you are awesome! I did figure the gillette coupons wrong. I figured them out at $2.00 instead of $2.99. I used both kinds of coupons for the os but i was very careful to buy the correct product. I was so careful that i spent a lot of time looking for the one called "red zone" (i had a home mailer b1g1) and after searching and going to the back of the store where they had boxes on pallets of the stuff, finding the box marked red zone pulling it out..... Then i realized I had a cart full of the same stuff! I got only the items i mentioned before. And they are all still in the bags. I have had to work late everyday this week. (my back bone is pretty weak too) I wish that I could be a little like I was prior to kids and staying home for so long. Tomorrow is the day!I hope it isn't to late. wish me luck. Thanks again for your help and being there kim
This is only if you receive a raincheck and even then if the raincheck is written properly it should be $2.99 with $4 off the total non-P&G grocery purchases wyb 4 P&G.
The $4 Off is not off P&G, but Non-P&G so the price on the coupon should be $2.99 or whatever the sale price before the $4 deduction is.
Sorry, I wasn't clear either. We are talking immediate purchases, but I threw in a raincheck situation as well. Mine wrote the "$1.99" for the raincheck instead of $2.99 and $4 non-P&G off wyb 4 P&G.
This still applies during the sale on immediate purchases:
The $4 Off is not off P&G, but Non-P&G so the price on the coupon should be $2.99 or whatever the sale price before the $4 deduction is.
