My Kroger Doubles Q's Now!!

I went shopping tonight, and was going to test out my Kroger to see exactly what they do/don't do as far as Catalinas go. So I just did one deal on the Pillsbury biscuits (6 cans, tyvm). And voila, got my catalina! So I was all flying high over just that. Officially, this would be my first step to beginning bargain shopping at our Kroger.

THEN....when I got home, and started looking at my receipts, entering the prices, etc into my spreadsheet.....I noticed....BONUS COUPON on my receipt after each of my Q's that were $0.50 or less! After being told in the past that they DON'T double Q's, I was totally surprised tonight to see that they do!

So I went and checked last weeks receipt, shopped on a different day, and discovered that they doubled that day too!! WOO HOO!! I am in Q heaven!!!

(I would ask the management all this stuff there, but our Kroger is small, and ALWAYS jammed packed with people, and the cashiers mostly seem....well...not unfriendly exactly, but....they wouldn't win Miss Congenialty...which I can completely understand given the evironment they are given to work in. They are nice and helpful, but they really don't have a lot of time (what with the continually endless lines of customers) to give answer to one specific question.

I do think though, after tonight's success...I will stop by the Service desk on my next visit and question a little bit.

My Kroger has doubled MQs up to 50 cents for as long as I can remember. I assumed all Kroger's did this.

OP, where are you located? Just because it's a small store doesn't mean they have their own rules. All stores in Kroger SE double up to .50. So a .50 coupon doubles to $1 and a .55 does not.

I am in East TN, but I shop across the border in KY, because that is my closest Kroger. I was totally excited because I called and asked them a few months back, when I saw an ad that said "Double My Coupons". I was told at that time that they did not double coupons, even though the paper advertised it. That caused me to stop shopping with them for a while, but I just couldnt stay away from those amazing deals!! LOL That, and the fact that it is the only other major supermarket in our area besides Save-A-Lot (unless you count the Wal-Mart Supercenter...which I don't because our's is just a waste of time/money to go to any more).

But now that I know this, I can plan even better! One quick ?? though.....do they do this every day, or only on during the weeks the Double My Coupons promo is advertised?

Not sure about KY, but ours double everyday.

I've lived in OH, GA, and now TN. Really only 2 different regions, but time wise it's been over a decade, and all of them I've ever been to in any of those regions have always doubled at least to 50cents. Weird that this one store would say that. Maybe you just a new/uninformed employee when you called to ask that day or something.
