Nope not mine. I think it has to do with them making the object free.

I've shopped two nearby Krogers and bought exactly the same items with exactly the same Qs. The Q was for $3/1 Purina cat food and I bought a $1.87 bag of Purina cat food (overage). At one Kroger, the register beeped....the other didn't. So I think they may be able to program beep triggers at the store level.
