Kroger (Southeast) ~ Question: $5 Mega Event didn't come off

Has anyone else had this happen? If so, what did you do?

I bought 20 items and only $5 came off my total. The only items that I bought this time that I haven't already bought before were sugar-free gel Dole Fruit Cups and Reduced Fat Cheez-Its. I was checking for tags while picking up my items and I'm fairly certain that these did have the tags (had the kids w/ me - I could be wrong, lol). I also bought 6 bottles of Propel, and I haven't bought Propel during any of my prevoius transactions before.

I didn't notice until I was out of the store. Should I just go back w/ the receipt and see if they'll refund me? Or should I take all my items back too?

Does anyone know if the items I mentioned above are not included? The Sugar Free Dole Gel Fruit Cups & Reduced Fat Cheez-Its? If that's what threw it off, can I just swap those two out for the regular versions of those products & get my $5?

i would call the store and see what they advise before i lugged all my groceries back! i mean, what if u had frozen items! would they make u dig them out and bring them back! ugh! I hope u get a refund and satisfaction!

if you look at your receipt, there will be a "+" sign next to the items included in the mega 10 deal.

If I am buying an item for the mega deal, and it is ambiguously marked- I go to uscan, and if there isn't a +, I ask the attendant to take it off, and run to get another item I know is included to replace it.

The welch's grape jelly was included, but not the strawberry (same size/description). It certainly makes me have to really pay attention when I shop the mega deal sales.

Thank you for this! I looked at my receipt and there they are - all the (+) marks! Now I know it wasn't either of the items I suspected (both are included, btw). It was the berry flavored Wrigley's Multipack!

did you call the store yet to see what to do? i just realized i had 29 [+] items :( so i missed another $5 by ONE item. arg..

I had this happen this past Saturday and I called the store to ask if I needed to take my stuff back and they said just the receipt. I went back the same day and they adjusted my receipt and I got $5.35 (includes sales tax) in cash.
