Kroger (Southeast) ~ Question: Kroger Southeast - Any Pigeon Forge area shoppers? Winetag question for you!

I am headed that way tomorrow and will be staying in a cabin so need to grocery shop

I have some "nice" non beeping(at my stores) WTs for meat that I would like to use

Do these "nice" WTS beep at Kroger? Super Walmart? any other good places to shop? I vaguely remember something about it being "dry" down there so maybe I can't use these at all?

will I get hassled? These expire before we come home so I will be sad if they don't get used

I live in Knoxville...not too far from Pigeon Forge. I have been shopping in Pigeon Forge before. I have shopped at Kroger all around this area and have NEVER had any problems with any coupons. If they beep, they usually just fix it and move on. I got tons of overage at my Kroger yesterday. But, I dont get a lot of winetags, so I cant speak about those. Hopefully, you will have no trouble.
Walmart on the other hand...totally different story!

By the way, it is beautiful here right now! My hubby and I actually talked about going to Gatlinburg/Pigeon forge tomorrow (we only live like 20 min away). Temps for this whole weekend supposed 60's-70's and Friday is the only day for rain. Hope you have fun!

I hope the weather is nice- every time I check it, it looks like there is going to be alot of rain while we are there. Makes it hard because we had hoped to be outside alot!

do they sell wine in the stores down there? These say NWPN but if they don't sell wine that would be a problem

I live in Sevierville - the town just north of Pigeon Forge. Undoubtedly you will spend quite a bit of time in Sevierville - sitting in traffic!!! The Walmart is in Sevierville. Our Kroger stores do not sell wine nor does Walmart. You can get it from the package stores in Gatlinburg. Pigeon Forge does sell beer now.

I live in Townsend. If you are in the area...make sure you go to Cades Cove and there is a great little musuem here in Townsend called the Great Smoky Mountian Heritage Center. Right now the mountains are just beautiful. Went mushroom hunting just last night!!! Enjoy our little piece of paradise!!

New to the board here. Wanted to wave "Hi" to ya'll in this area. It's nice to finally see someone else from the area. I also live in Sevierville and sorry to say to the OP yes our Krogers only sell beer and as my husband likes to joke "cheerleader beer" (hard ciders, wine coolers, etc.). Sadly no wine so doubtful you can use the wine tags here.

For others that shop at the local P.F. Krogers when is the best deal to get mark downs on beef? I've noticed from time to time the "manager special" stickers and I stock up when I get the chance to. I do most of my grocery shopping at our local Super Walmart but visit Krogers as well. I use coupons and price match at WM. Just wish our Krogers would run another triple coupon deal (they've only done it once since they first opened in P.F., I'm assuming they were bombarded with coupons or something).:shrug7:
