DD3 Clearance on cake decorating stuff (and candy making)

There were 2 huge bins at my store that had cake decorating frosting, tips, candy making supplies, etc. I wasn't blown away by the prices (I would say on average .89), but if that is your thing--maybe this would be a good stock-up opportunity for you. Betty Crocker coupons--would they work for this sale with overage? Not sure because I don't know if frosting decorating tubes would work with the coupons.

Default Re: Clearance on cake decorating stuff (and candy making)

The below is based on my experience in Kroger and I have no actual "proof" to back it up:

There are two types of "clearance" at Kroger: Manager's Specials and Closeouts. Closeouts are tagged on the shelf with an orange & white tag. These are usually consistent from store to store. Manager's Specials usually are found in carts/bins at the front of the store or on the shelf with a discounted sticker (bread & dairy). These are rarely consistent from store to store.

So, IME, it's highly unlikely that my store would have the same decorating products on clearance as well.
