FYI Got a Letter from Kroger Corporate!

This is from corporate! And they knew I was going to share this information. I got this a little while ago (last weekish). But, wanted to clear it with Heidi first.

I asked.

1. If I can use 10 $1 coupons on a 10 for $10 deal. Even though it makes the product free for me. (I also put it had no 1 per transaction restrictions.)

2. If you can use a P&G esaver coupon with a manu coupon. (Just so I have "proof" it's ok.)

Ms. xxxxx,

Thank you for taking time to send in your questions and kind words. I would like to take this opportunity to address both of your questions. Each item has a limit of one coupon. So if you buy 10 sponges you can use 10 coupons all in one transaction. As far as free, the coupon can state that you can only use one per transaction so that could be why the store was recommending multiple transactions. We always try to follow the guidelines on the coupons to ensure we get proper credit from the clearinghouse. We do have the right to limit quantities. Your other question was whether you could use a paper coupon and an electronic coupon on the same item. At this time that will work on our system, but long term I believe the plan will be to limit to just one.

I hope that I have answered your questions, if not please let me know.
Enjoy your weekend and thank you for shopping Kroger.

Ohhhhh...its like the scene in Mary Poppins where the laughing uncle tells everyone something sad and the floating tea party starts to descend.

I wonder if that is why some of the p&g coupons aren't working. The we are working to make it limit 1.

Well, I'm actually really happy about this one. At least for those of us here in WR area.

I like that is states basically. Unlimited coupons (per purchase, obviously not 2 coupons on one product) unless it says 1 per transaction. Which I will run into trouble from time to time when I have more then like 5. And I just don't have enough time in the day to make 10 runs in and out. (Though I have done it plenty of times.)

And it does say you can use a P&G and an paper coupon at the same time. This is something that alot have been having trouble doing. So now it is official. And it doesn't sound like the plan to switch to just one or the other is anytime soon. So I'm happy about this. So until further notice, use them with the satisfaction Kroger knows about it and they are ok with it.

My Kroger (Harrisonburg, Virginia) is now limiting me to one internet printed coupon per manufacturer. I went in the other day and was able to use one internet Green Giant Steamers (plus multiple manufacturer ones that I had clipped), one internet printed coupon for French's mustard (plus multiple man. ones that I had clipped). Apparently they are having a problem with coupon fraud!!! I actually wrote an email to kroger and told them how I did not appreciate the nasty comments by my cashier. Here I am busting my arse to save money, and the cashier is snotty to me. She would not have acted that way if I had used a credit card issued by the state!!!! MY tax dollars pay for others to eat and here is someone being nasty because I am trying to save. Its not my fault that she did not feel like working two jobs to put herself through college. I also told them that she made comments about "a bunch of women coming in here and getting their groceries for free and that ruins it for everyone else". I explained to Kroger that I was not a Kroger employee and that I did not sponsor their sales, force them to double coupons, and that I did not make any manufacturers post their coupons on the internet for consumers to print. I did none of that and I do not appreciate someone acting as I had committed a crime. If I am guilty of anything, it is that I am hard working consumer that is aware of how her money is best spent. I do not get any gov't breaks or support, so therefore, I am on my own when it comes to saving my money...........................................

Wow...I can see why you would be upset but to go off on the letter about welfare and people being given EBT is probably not wise if you want a response. I have found that if you state the facts on how you were treated but leave out your personal views on others you might get farther. They might be giving the same kind of hassle to someone using EBT and coupons together.
