Were chicken breasts on sale LAST week?

Very off topic of current deals, but please if someone could verify this for me, it would settle a dispute I'm having with the cust. service person at another grocery list site. (The one you have to pay <gasp!> for!) She swears that Tyson Chicken Breasts were on sale in Georgia at Kroger the week of June 22-June 28.

Sure it's not really a big deal but it was like the last straw for me over there and I finally cancelled my membership. (Especially since I've found this site is much better). She just won't back down. She says they were 1.99/lb. in HER store and if they weren't in my store it's basically my own problem and my store is different from all the others.

But they were not in the flyer and that being a loss-leader price should definitely have been in the flyer if it was true. Unless it was a manager special but that's not what she said, and they never put manager specials on that list anyway.

I just want to rest my own mind on this matter. So does anyone remember if they were on sale in the southeast anywhere last week? I know they are this week, but she swears they were last week too.

They were not on sale here in SC last week.. They are on sale this week for 1.99lb Tyson Chicken Breast.

She's wrong, I've got the ad from June 15 - June 21 where Tyson was $1.99#. Pm me your addy and I'll be happy to mail it to you to prove the point. After all, the customer is always right.

In fact, I just looked and I have BOTH ads - the one above and the one for June 22 - June 28. If you want both of them, they are yours. Then tell her you will report her for Internet Fraud.

Thanks for the offer, but I already have the ads. I told her that the ad did NOT show the chicken on sale that week and she just said that it WAS on sale in her store so that's what she went by. But again, she won't tell me what store is her store so there's no way I can really know if she's wrong or not. (I really feel like she is wrong and just won't admit it.)

But I'm letting it go. I cancelled and have all the emails saved, so if anyone ever asks me why I left or if I will come back I will certainly show them the emails, with the listmaker's name on them. And I have that week's list printed out and saved as well. We're just talking about a few dollars and the list did help me some in the beginning, so I'm just chalking it up to a learning experience.

But believe me I will not hesitate to tell anyone who I know is a member there about my experience and warn them away and point them in HCW's direction!
