I think I know the answer to this, but I wanted to verify before I challenged it.

I bought a bag of Fresh Express salad that was manager markdowned to 99¢. I pulled out my 55¢ blinkie to use and it beeped and "pierced out his butt boy" said, "You can't use a coupon on a manager markdown".

What's the deal? I have used them before on other mm'ed items and if they did beep, the cashier pushed it through.

I've been told both ways. Sometimes I can and sometimes I cannot.

I've had this happen, but at a different store. I called the manufacturer (Revlon) and to make a long story short, I should have been able to use my coupon. It doesn't matter if the item is on sale, clearance or regular price. If the store accepts coupons you can use a coupon.

Sorry that happened to you. I hate when they make up any reason just so they don't have to do any extra work!

The problem with Kroger's markdowns is that the UPC changes. So, the coupon is going to beep.

However, you should be able to use the coupon. You are purchasing the item that the coupon is for.

When applepie and I purchased a bunch of marked down Helluva Good dip, they had to manually enter the coupons in.
