watch what it takes off for the mega sale

Kroger has failed me for the first time ever today!

I did 3 mega sale deals and it only took off for 1. I always do them in the same transaction, it's never been a problem. I've also bought stuff that was in the ad but wasn't tagged on the shelf.

Well today I checked my receipt when I got home and it only took of $5 when it should have been $15. It didn't even register prices for 10 of the items, and for the other 10 it didn't show at the bottom of my receipt. So they owe me $5 (I think). I'll be back in that area on Friday so I'll take my receipt in then. Some of the stuff it didn't take of for was tagged for the mega sale prices on the shelf and some wasn't, but it WAS in the ad. I'm sure they'll fix it as they have great customer service at that store, but ugh frustrating. Oh well.

Normally I check my receipt before I leave but the lady had her cart loaded to take my groceries out and it's raining so I didn't want to hold her up.

So just watch carefully cuz some of the stuff in the ad isn't ringing carefully in the register.

The mega sale discount is ringing up differently this time. I went today and bought ten items. At the bottom of my receipt (right before manufactures coupons) it says Mega Event Savings 1.50- but higher up in my receipt under indivdual items it says Mega Event Savings 0.50- . All told it adds up to $5 off but it is in different places. You might want to double check your receipt before you go back.

my sale starts tomorrow (Central)
and I will just do 10 items the first go 'round
so I can see the new system they are using.

Good advice though to always check your receipt before leaving the store.

My sale started on sunday with kroger. So now with this mega sale at kroger if u have coupons for the sale items can u still use them.

no problem using coupons on the sale items. There was also no problem using coupons that were between the pre-mega sale and post mega-sale price just like usual. For example: Rozoni pasta pre-mega sale price is 0.99/1 (1.98/2) and post mega sale price is 0.49/1 (0.98/2) and the $1/2 coupon does not beep which is how we expect mega sale pricing to work.

Make sure you dont get the 10 for $10 items mixed up with the 10 items for mega mega sale $5 off..there is a differance..

some items are $10 for 10 items but you can get one or two of those and still pay $1 each item

The mega items however have a yellow/black sign that says 10 praticapating item on it..and you have to buy them in lots of 10 to get the extra $5 off....it can be 2 of this 5 of that and 3 of this as long as its 10 total items that are on the mega sale..

If you look at the bottom of your receipt there should be a line that says

[+]= number (whatever it was)

If it doesn't say 30 there, then per their system you didn't buy 30 mega items. I would be sure that number says 30 because that is one of the first things they will check.

On my receipt (I'm in Ohio) it takes off $0.50 under each item, not at the bottom. I'm not sure if there is a regional difference or not.

at my kroger on the mega event they have nivea, (not advertised in the ad) for 2.49 if you buy ten. so with the using the nivea coupon it is a 5.00 money maker for each ten.
