QUESTION Need help with policy for Free/BOGO at Kroger please

Hoping someone can help me out with Kroger's policy on free items.

For example: (making these numbers up)
Vitamin water shelf price is $1.25, WITHOUT card
    With card: $1.00
Mega sale $5 off 10 items making it .50

If I have a BOGO free, what is the credit for the free one?
    1.25, 1.00 or .50?

    Thanks!

I don't know if they have a standard on that. My experience has been that one clerk will put in the original price it rings up (with Kroger card) and the next cashier will write in the "after Mega" price as the "free" credit.
I don't think I've ever gotten the shelf price (w/o card) credit.

Thanks and reps Lady Margaret! That's been my experience too and I have a GREAT Smiths, so I'm certainly not going to rock the boat. I just wondered if there was a policy. It seems like they could give the highest number back and it not cost them due to the coupon reimbursement.

I wonder if they have an official stance on this.

Coupon can not go over the lowest sale price.

My experience is that they will take off the regular sale price that shows on the receipt. The Mega-sale will then come off separately.
I've never had a cashier take off the Mega-sale price.

    Personal experience:
When it comes to non-Mega price vs. Mega price taken off, it depends upon the cashier. An older lady or upper mgmt female will put in the Mega price; a man will put in the "ring-up w card/non-Mega price".
There should be a standard here, but there doesn't appear to be one in place.
