20% off + coupons= big savings !!
Well the big day came & went... I redeemed the 20% reward at Kroger on Tuesday !! Very exhausting, but well worth it. I arrived at 7:30 am & checked out at 5:00 pm, 5 buggys later, I saved $825.23 !!!
Now mind you my total before coupons & the 20% reward was $1494.64, so I actually spent $ 669.41 !! Not a bad day's work ! Now I am going to challenge myself in 2010 to stay out of the stores as much as possible & live off of our stockpile, with the exception of fresh foods. I have felt like a cat chasing my tail in 2009, I have saved over $5,500 this year, so I have been very blessed with a home FULL of toiletries, & stocked pantry & freezer, so I've decided to see how long I can go without chasing every deal there is to be had ( I have to kick the habit
) I mean how many bottles of shampoo does a family of five need?! I must admit it will be tempting to hit the super deals when I see them, but maybe I just should'nt look for them !! My New Years resolution is to take better care of myself... to actually use those foot creams & skin care products that I have so many of. The time I spent chasing deals, I intend on chasing a healthier more relaxed ME. God has blessed me with the ability to shop wisely for my family & I believe he has led me to this point where I can find balance in my life !!! I wish you all a truely happy New Year filled with abundence, health & a calm, happy family!! Wish me luck on my goals for 2010, you know how easy it is to take care of other people & how difficult it is for us moms to take care of ourselves... but I'm sure going to give it a shot !!!

WOW... Tammy... that is amazing. Its not only amazing that you saved that much money but the fact that you spent all that time at Kroger!!! Did you leave anything in the store for anyone else... LOL
How did you get 20% off??? I don't know that I would have the patience to spend all day in a grocery store. I once spent 3 1/2 hours at Harris Teeter... that was enough for me :-)
