DEAD...Kroger Mid Atlantic: Ad 5/17-5/23/09

Just a head's up since I never heard of this before. I couldn't find any Shamrock Farms chocolate milk at my store so I asked for a raincheck. This was not in the ad, but on the shelf tag for the week. I was informed by customer service that they cannot give rainchecks for any item that is not in the store circular. The employee said it didn't make sense to him either, but others have gotten into trouble for doing this. This was in Central VA.

Has anyone else heard of this?

Nope..never heard of this.

In fact, one of my favorite cashiers was checking me out the other day, she asked about the Shamrock milk q. She asked "Was it in Sunday's paper? Because I got 3 papers this week". I said yes, but the shelves are empty now after getting my 4. She replied.."Oh well, I'll just get a raincheck, you do know anytime we are out of something you can get one too right?".

May be just your "store" policy though. Each manager sets their own restrictions it seems. You might wanna try a different store, if you have one.

Thanks Crystal. I've had a prior raincheck issue with this store too, good thing there are 3 others within a 10 minute drive.
