Kroger v. Walmart Price Match

Looks like no one has posted anything in this forum for a week or so. I thought I would liven things up a little bit. I use my local Kroger ads to price match at Walmart as there are only a few items in the store that I really need. Wondering if you use Kroger to shop or use their ad to price match AND WHY?????

Generally I use Krogers' ad to price match because it saves me time and gas by not having to make an extra stop. However, when Krogers has their buy 10 items, get $5 off sales, Walmart will not deduct the $5 so I have to go to Krogers.

Also, there are some items that Krogers' shelf price is less than Walmart's and because the item is not on sale, I can't price match.

Thanks for the information. That makes perfect sense about "having" to go there for an unadvertised deal. This week, I was forced to go to Martin's Supermarket for an unadvertised deal on Cheerios & Trix (5 boxes for $10 / Have $.50 off coupons so will get 5 boxes for $7.50). Since the sale was not in the circular, I couldn't price match it at Walmart.

I go to Kroger because Walmart doesn't double Q's. However I do only purchase what is on sale and that I have coupons for that will make the price cheaper than Walmart. I ABSOLUTELY HATE going to WM!

I do not like Walmart and wont go there unless I absolutely HAVE to. I am lucky enough to have 2 Kroger, 1 Walmart and 1 Meijer where I live.... I can afford to be choosy.

I am like you brokenangel I dont go to Walmart. The reason I dont go is because the one nearest me is filthy and when I say filthy I mean not only the store but the parking lot is filled with trash most of the time. I also can be choosy as I have 3 krogers, 1 Giant Eagle and 1 Meijer near me.

I use the Aldi ad to PM at Walmart for the produce. My WM always seems confused on how that works!

I do the same thing with produce and veggies from the Save a Lot ad. I was NOT impressed with they way their fruit and veggies looked so I started pricematching at WM.
