only 3 like coupons

I am so upset today I had gone to my normal KROGER as usual. I had 42 items and 8 coupons no high value such as 3.00. They were 1.00 and .50 no doubling . Well when I got to the register I was informed I was only allowed to use 3 like coupons. This is very upsetting because I have never been an extreme shopper yes I may by 5 of something but never 100 -1000 like that yes " dumb show". I hate that show and it is ruining coupons for everyone else. Thanks TLC for ruining my hobby. I wish the show would be canceled.

I was talking to a cashier at Kroger just the other day, and she said that doubling 3 like coupons has always been their policy, just that they never enforced it until recently. She said, "you can double three like coupons per Kroger Card, per day." Uh huh, someone is monitoring my Kroger Card for coupon usage! Pffft!
My Kroger is the only one in a 50 mile radius that doubles coupons up to a dollar in value. So a dollar coupon is worth 2. So, you can imagine the amount of couponers that shop there. Everytime I shop go, I pass at least 10 other people with coupon binders. Even though it kinda hinders my shopping a bit, I am glad that they limit. Otherwise the shelves would always be empty when I got there. If it wasn't for Extreme Couponing, I wouldn't be a couponer myself. I thank them for showing me how at least. They at least could teach you how to be considerate of others and not break the law in the process.
Something that I've done when I wanted more than 3 items...1. taken my kids in and have them buy some of the stuff and use coupons. 2. Since I almost always shop with a friend, I have her buy the stuff and I do the same for her (if we aren't purchasing it ourself). Or you could go out to the parking lot, put your stuff in the car, and go back in and use a different cashier. I would do it since, I live 30 miles away from my Kroger. Happy Couponing!

You know stores don't have to offer doubling/tripling at all. Look at poor TX Kroger shoppers that don't have doubles anymore. All my stores have limits on coupon usage long before that "show" started and I think it's fair.

What kroger card do they use? And while you're complaining about limits and such, you're skirting those limits in various ways. I guess I don't understand your complaint?

I think what you may have learned about the show you're complaining about is how to beat the store system to your benefit.

There is no redeeming quality about that show, none.

Our Kroger only doubled up to .50 anyway. At least some of us in DFW area still have stores that double/triple. I do go to Kroger for the fuel benefits. They are still cheaper than Tom Thumb or Albertson's on a lot of things, and they are very close to home.

I have told Kroger that I will only be using my high dollar coupons with them. They have seen a drop off, but not that much. It's still amazes me how many people don't coupon - even a small amount!

Thank goodness I'm all stocked up on toothpaste (all free), body wash, shampoo, razors, granola thins and pasta!

I haven't been to kroger in yrs! I ust to go there all the time when I lived in ohio.

I went today to kroger and I was so disapointed. They had one person checking today and that was it. No MGT walking around like normal and jumping on a regester if need. I had to wait in line for like 45 minutes to pay..Then she was very rude about my coupons and was questioning many of them she had to dig several items out of the buggy. I did not mind that because I knew I had the right items but I had about 120 coupons for I drive 30 minutes one way to use them and this was taking up alot of time people in line was getting upset at me when it was not me so much as it was the cashier. I mean she had some kind of question about every other coupon it seemed like even before she even scanned it. I think she was mad for she was the only one working but it was not my fault I even told her I was sorry that she was checking all alone and I had this many coupons to use......

Never have I had this problem before and usually there is at least 3 checkers and if people are still waiting the mtg would open another.

Like I said I had over 40 items and 8 coupons which mean I am not trying to beat the system . And they were not doubling anything which is not my complaint it was just I wanted to use a few coupons and couldn't. When I have been behind people with well over 100 items and Over 100 coupons . The cashiers have told me because the show people are trying to beat the system like wrong sizes, pre ordering items and using coupons on everything.

That is no ones fault but krogers for being on that show and letting those people do all that stuff..now people think that they can go in there and do what they saw others do...I have been going in this krogers for sometime now and this cashier has check me out many times so she knows that I was not out scamming..

I think she was mad becuase she was the only one checking which I really dont get for they were busy and there is always more cashiers than one there plus the mtg is usually out so they can be saw but not today.

There is 6 of use and I usually have 2 or 3 that ant mine here so I do shop big..but I only had 4 and 5 of some of the same items..yes coupons for them all just about..

My sisters store only takes 3 like coupons also but it's per transaction. If she has 6 like coupons, she does two transactions and has no problem (and her store doubles).


BTW, I hate that show too.
