    HAPPY DANCE Tide for $2.99!

Well today I went shopping at the Kroger in Owosso, only had a few things on my list...one of the things was the Tide that is on sale. They are advertising Tide liquid 24-32 loads and powder 31-40 loads on sale MIX OR MATCH BUY 2 SAVE $2..Sale price $5.99 - $1.00. Which to me sounds like they are $4.99 each. I was like ok with my $1 off one Tide coupons that will be doubled to $2 I can get them for $2.99, which is the cheapest I have EVER paid for Tide this size. ****DOING HAPPY DANCE!****

Well, I get home and look at my receipt, and under each reg price tide of $5.99 is an automatic coupon for $2 off = $3.99 each (which is how Kroger gives you your sale price for all you newbies out there.) Ok now I'm confused, the ad said save $2 on two, not $2 off one. So, I read further down. Under the second Tide was an additional line for P&G $2 discount, which is probably the deal that they are advertising on the Ad. So, in the end they scanned for $2.99 and with my one dollar doubled coupon, they were 99¢!

I'll be doing a happy dance if there's any left when we go. I wonder if a raincheck would do any good in this instance. I have never gotten a raincheck b4 from this store, but if the cat deal lasts till the end of the month & coups are still good, then I'm gonna ask for one.

I also want to see when they get their trucks in, and do u know if they are open 24 hrs? I LOVE shopping in the wee hours. I'm up anyway, as you can see

I did this deal got two tide used the 2.00 dollar coupon on both did not work for me with 2 coupons and the sale price paid 6.58 for two .You did have to buy two to get the 2.00 of right Bummer .99 cents would be better but still not bad for two at 6.58 .Would have liked to get them at .99 cents with kids .

Yeah. I musta been really tired and read my receipt wrong! For some reason I was thinking that they post the REG price and the Automatic coupon is what they deduct to get to the SALE price. However that is NOT the case. I've looked at receipts a million times but for some reason my brain didn't comprehend it right this time...Sorry if I mislead u.

Yea! And then I didn't have to go thru all that trouble with the coupon police.

Let me NOT give a shout out to the Owosso Kroger. More specifically the managers and a cashier who's name rhymes with Poo. And coincidentally that's what this trip was~a load of CRAP!

Allow me to elaborate...While I'm in the middle of shopping, I decide to go up to the customer's service desk and waited in line behind other Kroger employees to ask the the man behind the counter (not sure if he was or was not a manager) what their policy was concerning coup's that are under a dollar. I know that since my first trip there, which was 2 weeks ago, they limited $1 coups to 3 and they no longer double "do not double". Ok. I'm fine with that. He said that there really was no limit, but they dont want someone with 20 like coups to clear the shelves out. He said 4-5 would be fine. OK. Great! I now can adjust my coups acordingly.

OH no U di'int! I fo to check out and put my coups on the belt b4 everything else. The cashier asked me if these were my coups. I said. yes. (like who the hell else's would they be?..excuse me..I'm still peeved). She then had an attitude liek she thought I was there to get everything for a dollar or something.

She was first going thru my coups to make sure i had no "do not double". I told her, I tried to be real careful, so if u find one in there, I'm sorry. she then was looking at the coupon and looking at the stuff in my cart, like taking a mental inventory.

She then proceeded to tell me that I can only use 3 coups, no matter the limit. What? I told her i went to customer service and had already specifically asked what their coup plicy was & related the info. "No! No! That's not it. It's three of every kind of coupon only. Then she was telling me to take away items of the coupons I had too many of. I'm getting more upset by the minute.

She then sees I have 2 Tide in the front of my cart. She said, you can't have those two. I said, these are for someone else, and so are these two Tyson packages. "No! You can't do that." I said, fine, then I'll go out to my car and come back in and get two more. They are for someone else anyway (which was true..they were for my roommate. We just happen to wash clothes together sometimes ) "No! That is not allowed! YOU CANNOT DO THAT! She used some term neither me or my friend could recall, but it was a new one on me.

I told her I wanted to speak with a manager then. She she explains everything and he agrees with her. I told him, I went up to the counter SPECIFICALLY to ask about coups under a dollar and relayed what I was told. He said, well our cooupon policy has changed. If I had thought about it then I wouldve asked him, from 1/2 hour ago???

The cashier then points out to him, "Yea! And she wants to get those two Tide & when I told her no, she said she was going to unload her car and come back into the store and I told her she can't do that. I told the manager, "all I want to do is to buy these two Tyson chicken strips adn the two Tide. It's not like I want to get another whole cart full of stuff.

He said, well, these Tyson aren't for your coups. I think their for the frozen. I said, really? hmm I didn't notice it. He got the coups and he was right. I noticed "any Tyson", but missed the frozen. I apologized and said then I do not want them. He told her to ring up the Tide "this time". I thanked him, although I was still pissed.

She was not happy that I was able to get two more Tide..for a grand total of 4. And let me just say I was not clearing a shelf here. They had a whole end cap full of them! She kept giving me my extra coupons and I took the items off the belt. I told her, I NEVER have a problem at any other store, but every time I come to this store, there is a coupon policy change! It's rediculous and everyone needs to be on the same page. And then I couldn't help myself guys. Befor I left I said, your store must be so happy they have the coupon police working for them!

What a joke that store is. It's great they double, but for the hassle, I am not sure it's worth it. All I know is I am more than happy to fill out my survey tomorrow.

You go GIRL! I mentioned POO's name on my survey for u also, along with my cashier that threw my apples down the belt and bruised them! If I were to treat a customer like that, I would get a disciplinary action!

I just saw your comment, Chewy TYVM! I sent Kroger my complaint in an e-mail and awaiting their "personal response" their automated e-mail informed me I would be receiving.

Wonder how long it takes to apologize and say we are looking into it? Way to go, Kroger~NOT!
