Yes, as you understood it.
Double "up to" means face value - so if the policy is up to .50, then any coupon .50 or lower gets doubled. Any coupon with a face value higher than .50 is only credited at face value.
This is going to sound like a stupid question, but we don't have any double couponing in Canada so here goes ... I checked the master list (fabulous!) and found out 'my' Kroger will double up to 50c.
My question is this ... does that mean if the face value of the coupon is 50c they will give me $1 off?
If the face value is 40c, they will give me 80c?
If the face value is $1, they will give me umm $1 or $1.50?

Coupons are found money - who walks by money on the ground??

yes they are!! when i just had a kroger that doubled, .50 was WAY better than a .75 coupon....but now i have another grocery store that doubles the .75 to $1 so all the same depending on the ads..

I pretend tomushrooms. It makes it so much easier to kill them.
I just moved from an area that had stores that doubled up to .99 all the time and occasionally did "super doubles" up to 1.99, so I am used to seeking out the 0.75 and 1.50 Qs! My Kroger only does 0.50 so I'll have to get used to hunting those down. =D
Very interesting. I guess a 35c coupon isn't all that silly then! I'm heading to Kroger this weekend to pick up some deals and get my store card activated for future use.
I'm going on Sunday which is the last day of the current flyer so I hope the items on it are still available. Seems like there is more shelf clearing in the US than Canada from what I've read on here.
