Kroger to Limit to 4 Like Coupons?

Hi!

My name is Jessica & I have been a serious lurker since last summer when I started couponing.

I had to go to the customer service desk yesterday to collect my General Mills $5 Kroger GC because my cashier was out of them. While I was there, I asked the manager if there were any updates to their coupon policy. She said no, but that they were coming. She said that they just received an e-mail from corporate saying that a new coupon policy was being written and that all Kroger stores were going to soon limit to 4 like coupons. I forgot to clarify if this was per transaction or per day.

Anyway, I just thought that I would share that because I like to make sure that I follow all of the rules that I am supposed to.

So, it's not in place yet. Just wanted to give you a heads up that it's possibly coming soon.

I hope this is not true for all stores and I dont see why it would be becuase the policy is so different from store to store now. Maybe the update to their policy is going to be for all stores tho who knows..

4 of like coupons will suck for mega sells..but I know some of you can only do that many now and less.

I'm in Marion and they enforced the 4 like coupons yesterday. I'm ok with that, it just caught me off guard. I'm glad I had a small shopping order and only had to have 4 items taken off my order.

here in Flint, Michigan we can only do 3 alike coupons per transaction and per person anyway, but you can walk out and come back in and do another transaction, will see how long they let you do that :-(

I am in Michigan & my Kroger seems different every time I go. My store doubles up to $1. Sometimes the cashier will double 4 coupons, sometimes 3, and others 2. It's like rolling the dice there! You never know what they will do. It does make it very hard to determine what to buy and how many. I kind of wish they were more consistent.

You might want to take a look at the Kroger Texas/Louisiana thread. Kroger stopped doubling and tripling in over 100 Houston Metro area stores on April 13th.

I live in NW OH. Last week the .50 doubles were featured in the ad, limit 3 like coupons, and 1.00 doubles in the Perrysburg store, limit 4 like. This week, the ad banner is missing in Toledo, Perrysburg, and Cincinnati's ads as far I can see. The Columbus ad still has .99 doubles. Not saying that Kroger has made a change yet, just putting the possibility of one coming out there.

Yeah, I know about the Houston area doubles & how they stopped. From what my store manager said, she said that it came down from Corporate.

No, we still can have any number of sets of coupons that double, but you can't have, say, 5 coupons for the same item. Only up to 4. Kind of like what Proctor & Gamble already do.
