All my Kroger stores will only double a coupon valued at $.50 or below. I don't believe any Krogers double a $.55 coupon to $1...
Okay, I have a question about doubling coupons. My local Kroger "doubles coupons up to 50 cents"....
Does that mean they will double a couple if it's value is 50 cents and under (25 cents is 50 cents, 40 cents would be 80 cents)?
OR
Does that mean they will only double the amount 50 cents more? (50 cents off would be $1.00 off....75 cents off would be just $1 off because $1.50 would be more than 50 cents)

Thanks!
My stores recently started doubling up to 60 cents off ( up til now they only doubled to 50 cents) meaning a 60 cent coupon would double to 1.20 off. They double any coupon at or below the double amount and any coupon over that amount will be taken at face value so a 75 cent coupon will still be 75 cents off. I don't know why in some areas they double more than other areas, it doesn't seem fair.
I know this is an old thread, but I did want to make comment! All Kroger stores are not created equal in their doubling!!I have friends that live in the N. Kentucky area right near Cincinnati and they take 55c and up to $1! Now i don't know if that is KY or OH that does that, tho. Here in East TN, we double up to 50c but I understand that in the Nashville area they even TRIPLE!! Oh what fun that would be!!

Thanks for that Kroger update. I have a question about how Kroger decides which stores double what amount or even triple, does anyone have a clue why Kroger has so many different coupon policies? Does each store make their own and if so would it help to talk to our store's manager about this? I for one don't think it's fair that my store never triples or doubles up to $1. We seem to have the exact same sales/reg. prices as other stores. Anyone have more input or information on this?
Our Kroger in the Indianapolis area will double coupons up to 50 cents.
I did just post that there was a notice posted on the register that says now they will only double the first 2 identical coupons. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Is this a new company wide policy?
It really varies from store to store. We have Fry's, which is owned by Kroger, and everything under $1 gets rounded up. (For example, a .75 coupon would be rounded up, as would a .50, or a .25.) They will only multiply the first three like coupons per transaction, but if you plan well and split your orders, you can get around that. Here in Phoenix, when one chain does something, the others typically follow suit, and they all pretty much do the "every coupon worth at least $1" thing - it's a really competitive market.
