Great Lakes Region members: Who can we designate to post as early as possible about the new ad?

I normally get my Kroger ad sometime Friday PM or sometime Saturday mornings. However, this is in the form of a freebie newspaper that the carrier can deliver anytime between Friday and Saturday. There has never been a set time or date so far! And, sometimes it is never at all. Of course, with the current blizzard, all bets are off.

So, I promise (raises hand!) to post ASAP once recd. But, I have a feeling there are other members here that get the ad a little earlier than what I posted. In fact, in the Columbus, Ohio area I have always read about what is called "the bag" that has advance ads etc and gets delivered, what? Wednesday or so? I forget that part!

So, who can we designate, appoint, demand, bribe, sweet-talk into posting the info? As has been proven to me this past week, even with getting the ad around Fri-Sat as opposed to in the Sunday paper, I still have a hard time being able to locate and trade for cpns needed (still haven't found any Gatorade!) to be able to receive in time before the ad ends on a Sunday.

I'm SE of Columbus. Out here "the ad bag" is suppose to be delivered by noon on Sunday. Sometimes we get it on Saturday. Mine is never on the very nice big hook on my mailpost. Thrown on the ground in the grass wherever. Just saying....

Good idea DND. We don't get the Kroger ad until the Wednesday AFTER the new sale week starts. If I had a way to get it early, I'd totally volunteer.

I also love that idea. I do not get a copy of the ad until Tuesday/Wednesday after the sale starts Monday. So, I'm out. I usually find it online late Saturday night and that is the earliest I ever see it.

I get it with the Sunday paper, but I'm not sure how much help that would be for everyone. I'd be willing to do it if no one is earlier.

I look up the ad online after midnight on Saturday. I get the ad on Monday in the mail. I don't mind doing the ad (even though I've been slacking at it. :( Sorry) but if someone gets it earlier, it is a-ok to post it! I promise I'll make their post into a sticky too!

I just also hope that coupon matchups are being done throughout the thread. It is a goal of mine to do that. I know it takes time, but it is super helpful not only for me but for the other members that browse the ads here.

I wish I ever got a copy of the ad delivered to my house... I look at it online on Sunday, or just pick one up when I am in the store!

Dont think I can be of any more use than others. I get mine in "the bag".

The earliest I ever get mine is Friday afternoon/evening but not that often. Its usually on Sat afternoon. Once in a great while or when it is bad weather...its on Sunday afternoon.

I never really know when its coming.

As the mod for this forum, it is technically my duty to post the ad. Now I won't complain if other forum members would like to post it since they may get the ad earlier than me, but please don't feel like it should be the person who gets the ad the earliest.

if someone finds themselves bored on a day they may have gotten it and notice the ad isn't up yet, they can feel free to post it. It doesn't have to be the same person every single week. In fact, I try (but sometimes can't) get a placeholder thread up for the new sales early so there is definitely a place for it.

So don't feel like someone HAS to do this. Like I said, it is technically my duty as a volunteer for modding this forum. :) It is just a nice little bonus when someone else posts it earlier.
