In Indiana, Kroger's ad shows the crayons as being .25 through Wed of this week.

I think the CAT deal goes through Saturday, if I read the OP correctly.

Yeah, our ads end on Sunday and cats usually end on the last day of the week so I'm hoping ours didn't end yesterday and goes through next Sunday. I'm not sure if the OP's Kroger is a week behind or ahead of Great Lakes.

How much other stuff do you have to buy in order to get the cat to print? I want to stock up on cats for a trip to my store that doubles up to $1 this weekend.

^^I am not sure. I've just added the crayons to my other stuff each time I've gone grocery shopping.

Today I bought the crayons and about $16 in other things and a $4 cat printed.

You only need to buy the BTS items for this CAT to print. It makes no difference if you have other items. I buy:

(6) 24 ct Crayola crayons .25 each but the CAT promo counts the regular price of 2.39
(2) 10 ct Crayola markers (two type of tips available) 1.00 each. CAT promo counts the reg price of 3.19

So,
6 x 2.39 = 14.34
2 x 3.19 = 6.38
TOTAL = 20.72 (mor than the $20 needed for the $4 CAT)

Real OOP cost:
6 x .25 = 1.50
2 x 1.00 = 2.00
TOTAL = 3.50 get a $4 CAT = all free plus .50 money maker (helps w/tax)

BTW, I can only use ONE $4 CAT on any next order. I had a few and was going to use them up but the cashier said the register will not allow it. But, the CATS from, say, the Kraft Cheese promo can be stacked. Both types have the same wording though.

Why wouldn't this still work? It ends August 21.... Guess it doesn't matter since they're only a quarter anyway. But I want my cat!

I tried to buy 10 packs of Papermate pens that were regularly $2.05 a pack on sale for 3 for $1.00 and it wouldn't work Monday. Last week it worked fine buying that. My guess they are going off the sale price now. They even tried to rering the order at the service desk to get the cat and it didn't work. This was in Kentucky.

You guys can relate to how I feel. I've been rolling the cat buying 8 boxes of crayons at .25 each and 2.00 worth of other groceries. Well, anyway yesterday I somehow lost the last catalina that printed. My son's been getting the receipts and cats out of the machine when they print at UScan. I could have swore he walked out holding onto the receipts and the cat but when we got home, I could not find it anywhere. Either he lost it out in the parking lot or he really didn't have it and forgot to pull it out of the machine. I went back and looked in the parking lot and in the store, but I couldn't find it. It's only $4.00 but I hate loosing any amount of money. I'm mad at myself for not being more careful.

i was able to use 2 $4cats on the same order. ??? didn't hear the register beep and my cashier (who has been there for 5 yrs) didn't say anything. Must depend on the store.

But, it appears you can use only ONE of the $4 CAT on your next order. I still do not understand this as they are worded the same as other CAT you. The difference, this one does not say thank you from Crayola and, it only has a small bar code.
