Worked for me today, YAY! I had forgotten about it, gonna have to make up for lost time, I love those things, too easy!

Went to kroger today and got 3 and it spit out a 3 coupon. Went back in and got three more and it did not print a cat. (no i didn't use the last cat). The cat machine appeared to be on. The customer service claimed that there may a limit as to the number you of catalines you can get in one day.

I immediately returned them. Oh well, at least it worked as a MM once.

Bought four boxes of potatoes today (the twin packs which are on sale for .99 each), used four .40/1 IPs and got the $3 cat. :)

I did this twice tonite back to back and got the cat both times. Your CS rep pulled this one out of her/his butt. Whenever you are due a cat in a transaction always check the lights. If it is working properly there should only be one green light on. If there are any others such as red flashing lights, something is wrong with it. May be out of paper, or paper jam etc. I would suggest taking them back and they can re-ring your order and the cat should print. You don't need coupons or anything else. I got the BC potatoes and Pillsbury biscuits in the same order last week and got nothing. It turns out the cat machine had a paper jam. Went to CS and the re-rang only those items and both cats printed. I think they scanned them then totaled the order acted like i paid then gave me the cats and did a return so their register was right and I got my cats. Does this make any sense It's way too early for me to be doing all this thinking.

Also sometimes cats print really slow. My mom did the hershey deal yesterday and as she was asking the cashier where her reward was and the cashier was looking over her reciept and giving her every excuse in the book it come rolling out of the catalina machine.

I agree it was totally made up, but as it was a madhouse since it was the day before Easter I decided I didn't want to deal with it. I fully intend to try again! I am always amused when they have NO CLUE how coupons/cats work.

it's an escalating catalina, so it prints only one $3 coupon when you buy 3. you can split your orders though. That is until kroger figures this out and pulls the promotion like they did the purex deal.

The manufacturer pays for catalinas, not Kroger. Kroger didn't pull the Purex deal because it was a freebie or MM, they pulled it because of widespread fraud and abuse. That came straight from corporate. BTW, after talking with them and a local manufacturer's rep, I honestly think Kroger took the fall for Purex. I think Purex freaked when they saw how many cats were being printed. Most manufacturers expect (and budget for) a 2-5% redemption rate on coupons and promos. There were people around the country going and getting a few hundred $$ in cats in only 2-3 days. And since Kroger has the Plus card, they can track it and see that it wasn't 200 people getting those cats, but the same people over and over again. As that rate of redemption continued to climb, my professional opinion is that Purex realized the offer was too good for them to sustain.

I've done this deal a couple of times, and each time I get the creamy butter flavor in the pouches it doesn't print a cat.... roasted garlic and loaded pouches work. Any one else know if they had problems and its the creamy butter one that's not working?

I've gotten the creamy butter flavor many times with no problems getting the OYNO.
