They are free, if you turn around and use that gc for your mega deal!! in a round about way! :) I was going to do it tonight, but the cs desk was closed and i didnt want to do it if i couldnt get the gc right then!! I'll be back though!!!

It bears repeating to be sure to read the $10 catalina carefully. It says that you need to pick up a gift card and bring the gift card along with your $10 catalina printout to the register and the clerk will load $10 on the gift card for you to use on your next transaction. Makes it a little harder to rinse and repeat the $10 Amp deal. But it can be done.

I got $20 loaded on 1 GC yesterday no problems. The clerk asked me if that was ok, SURE why not

I just got back from completing back-to-back transactions. If you are going to repeat the same purchase using the SAME gift card be aware that it takes 5 to 10 minutes for your newly loaded $10 gift card to be activated in Kroger's system. What I did was I purchased 10 Amp drinks, got my catalina, handed it to the clerk and she loaded the $10 GC. I then wandered around the store killing about 5 minutes or so and repeated the same procedure again. I have no idea what I will do with 60 Amp drinks.

Customer service said that they would honor the price via raincheck as long as you bought 10. So if your Kroger is out of the Amp drinks - simply raincheck it to lock in the price. The $10 catalina will keep printing till 07/26.

Also, watch out for expired Amp drinks. My store had about 15 cans that expired in 08! It was the cherry and orange flavor I believe.
