Kroger Family ~ Catalina: Surprise Catalina!

I went to Kroger tonight and bought the bag of Armour Pepperoni for $2.99 and the catalina machine spit out 2 $2 OYNO! I was NOT expecting this!

What a rush!!! I MADE $1.01....could it be an error of some sort?

On top of that, I got there right when they were marking there Kroger Brand frozen pizzas, xtreme cheese, down from $5.29 to $1!!! I was going to get a couple anyway cuz they are on sale for $3.99, but instead of getting 3, I got 12 for the same price!

There are big signs on the freezer doors at my kroger about this. I didn't pay too close attention but something about kroger and armor get xxx oyno.

Also, there was a big display of Duracell batteries 2 pack for $1, AA and AAA. I'm stocking up on those as well.

No, I went back and got 2 more bags and it was NOT the pepperoni. Once I got to looking at it, the cat said it was compliments of Armour, the pepperoni I bought was Hormel. It was on sale for $2.99 and I had 2 .45 coupons, so using those 2 cats I got, it was still $.09, which was good.

I've gone over and over my receipt from that night and can't figure out where the cats came from. I got to Kroger right when they were marking a closeout on the Kroger brand Xtreme cheese frozen pizza, which just happens to be my son's fave of all frozen pizzas. I was going to get a few anyway because all of the flavors are on sale for $2.99. They were marked down to $1. This is what all I got on that trip:

12 of the closeout pizzas
1 bag Hormel pepperoni
3 12 pks coke
1 Freshetta pizza
3 Butterfinger candy bars
4 cans of olives
2 pints ice cream

I have no idea why that cat printed. It wasn't there when I got to the register, either.:shrug7:

I saw this sign up this last weekend - buy 4 Kroger deluxe pizzas (don't remember the exact wording) or Armour Frozen Meatballs, get $2 OYNO. Didn't see any dates posted.

just a thought here....maybe the Hormel pepperoni was the trigger for the Armour pepperoni cat.

:hamster2: ok I went and bought 4 of the Armor Meatballs and did not get the cat. It says combination of 4 pizza and meatballs so I guess you have to get a pizza too. I didn't need pizza so its no big deal but thought others might want to know.
