QUESTION dose your kroger do this?? anyone please

I went today to get more of the Dole can pinapple that is on sale for 10/$10 (last day)(not in this weeks sale ad here) well they had already took the sale sign down. I took one can to the service desk to see if it was still on sale or not. I was told ' yes it is still 10/$10 today and its the last day but we took the sign down two days ago becuase we have sold more than we thought we would"...I have noticed that this store dose this alot....this is the first time I have just went and ask tho most of the time I just dont get the item for usually I have already got several anyway but these we eat alot of so I found more coupons and wantted to get a few more.
Is this a normal thing?I mean to take the sale sign down early so I know for now on...

I doubt anyone would know unless they took the time to go ask, as you did.

I haven't noticed it where I shop (dillons store..which is a kroger store).

Ours has lately on a few items...limited them to 10 per person per day...to keep people from taking so many they didn't have enough.

But even when things were gone (I was there last tuesday...and they were out of several kind of cereal) they didn't take the sign down...they just left it there.

it was stocked up well, just the sale sign was no longer there...

Has everyone done as I have in the past and just not got the item they thought was suppose to still be on sale due to the sale sign being gone..also the 2 pack olay bar soap had the sale sign down but I did not ask about it still being one sale I wish I had tho

Yes, my Kroger is a 24 hr store and I frequently have to carry an item to the cs desk to see if it is still on sale, if I shop on a Tues. I really thought it had to do with changing over the sale signs though. I assumed they had many to change. They are frequently out of sale items but get trucks a lot so if I go more often they usually have stocked more. Most of the sale signs here have a date on them that the sale is through. I try and check it if I know a great coupon is out that makes the item a good buy so I know if I can order more coupons to use.I have also noticed that many times an item will be on sale two weeks instead of just the one..the first in the ad and the second not in the ad. One other thing is that sometimes an item rings up cheaper than I expect because it appears it will be on sale in the next day or so and they have already entered it in their computers. I very seldom buy 10 or more of an item at a time.

I am happy to know that someone else has noticed this..I to have been in there on monday and tuesday to shop and have found sale sings missing on both days, it always a item that is not in the sale ad for my store. I bet from now on I go ask instead of just not buying the item..my store will double up to 8 like coupons so if I have 8 coupons that calls for 2 items to be bought I may just get 16 of them for i have ot drive 30/40 nin one way with my twins to get to the kroger store so due to the cost of gas my trips have to be worth the tirp...
