Kroger $5 mega (check them)

ok this is the scond time this has happen to me this month..The first time I noticed it in the store I was to get 7 extra $5 off and only got 5 so I went to get that refunded then, got it with no problem...Then today I had my twins with me and they had to walk for there was no car buggys for them and by the time I was paid out I was really ready to get out of there. When I got home I look to see that everythins was good and again they did this to me, I got 62 items on the mega and only got 4 extra $5 off I knew my total was off but I was about ready to pull my hair out at this point and time, so now they owe me $10 more back the next time I go back...

so be on the look at for this

Did you get the + beside the items purchased? If so, that's really weird that their registers aren't programmed correctly. I would be seriously ticked but now.

yes the + was by the items all the items and then by the extra 2 that I did not know was on the sale thats why there is 62 and not just 60..the first time the + was also by the all the items and it showed them all on the total for mega on the bottom of the recipt.

i have had this happen before because it wasnt coded as a mega item....since then, i always check before it leave...i try to do it real quick before it pay

Today was the last day on the sale and they had already took the reach toothbrush and uncle bens sale signs(showing mega items this morning) down and I got those products, sunday there was non on the shelf so I guess when they restocked it they took the sign down to discourge them being bought at the cheap sale price. I did get the megs price but I wonder if that had anything to do with why I was shorted $10, they had the + by them tho...I called and they said to bring the recipt back and let them look at it, so I will take it in next time.

This happened to me during the .49 tuna pouches. I bought several different flavors in cans and pouches, etc. I must have explained it to the lady 3 or 4 times. She would say my tuna counted and point to the ones that did have a plus. I would point to the ones that rang up incorrectly at .79 instead of .99 and say not all of them counted.

Then, I'd show her the kind on the receipt with no plus that were in the picture in the ad to be .99 and are part of the deal. Then , she was like well they rang up less than .99! Like why would I complain about that??!! Um, they kept my count from being correct and cost me $5. It was like I was speaking a foreign language and I don't really think she ever GOT IT. I think she finally just handed me $5 so I'd go away. lol

I know what you mean. I had a problems trying to explain it to one of the service managers once - and you would think they, of all people, would know how things are supposed to ring up. I always double check my receipts before I leave the store these days. I have learned not to take the family shopping if I can help it too - makes life so much easier to go by yourself - way less .

Dad works away from home and I have to drive 30 minutes one way to get to kroger and its not in a part of town that I want to be in at night....I went sunday alone but the shelf was cleared on a few things I wantted so I had to go back today when the truck had came with more stock. You belive me I go alone every chance I get instead of with kids but all to often its a must do for me..

here is what i do so i know how many should be taken off before i get to the register. i put all of my 10 items in a recycle bag when that bag has 10 items in it then i close it up to keep up with my counts. when i get to the register i know that if i have 5 bags then i should get 5- $5 back and i watch the register like a hawk to make sure that i get my mega bucks and every coupon counts. hope this helps, you can always take your receipt back (i have done it several times) and they will adjust it and make it right for you, its a hassle but they will do it. i also try to make smaller trips it seems to be better and more accurate for some reason, any way hope this helps!
