HOT my worst couponing experience at Krogers EVER

I was told I could not use BOGO coupons and was only allowed to use one IP at a time. The cashier called the shift supervisor over and she confirmed. She said, "we aren't allowed to take coupons that make an item free." I stepped to the side and called the 1800 # and a manager walked by. While I was waiting on the phone for verification, I stopped him. He wasn't aware of any policy and told the CS rep he would take care of it. BUT he talked with the shift supervisor and he said he would let me do this just this one time but no more. :-(

Once I left, I called CS again. She said "there is not a policy for one IP but the manager has sole discretion to override corporate policy." She didnt' understand why they wouldn't accept the BOGO . She said, " what I am reading you aren't allowed to use a coupon on a free product. example: you are getting free coke per a promo. You can not use a coupon to get $$ off that Coke product. BUT it is the manager's sole discretion how he chooses to interpret a coupon."

PLUS, she said she was not allowed to mail me the coupon policy. WHAT?? How ridiculous is that? Sounds like a set policy is not in place and I can get suckered.

    Definitely not happy!

Anyone have a Kroger Coupon policy?

Here's alink to the digital coupon policy:

    Kroger

Here's a link to the regular policy:
    Kroger

I had to do a web search to find it. I could not come up with by going on Kroger's site.

    Default Kroger internet coupon policy

You have probably just been victim to the poor communication of the coupon policy at that store. I too have been victim to this, and even had a lead cashier say to the cashier I was checking out with that she should not have taken a B1g1 internet just recently. If you remember the old campfire game of whisper in the ear a short sentence and then pass it to the next person, this seems to be how some of the policies are communicated at these stores. The best defense is the policy in hand, which is in the link, second one. The manager may have misinterpreted the policy in regards to the "free" part. Internet coupons are more likely to be fakes and stores are trying to curtail the fraud which is occurring. Some stores in my area will only allow 2 internet coupons per item per purchase.(The idea behind this is that you should not be able to print more then one or two coupons per item).

THANK YOU. I didn't think of googling for the coupon policy when I couldn't find it on the official site.
