For me, it depends. What kind of cheese, what size package is it, what brand?

Cream cheese, I'll buy it when it's $1/pkg and stock up when it's less.

Sliced american cheese, I only buy real cheese and we go thru a package a week usually, so I am just happy if it's on sale LOL.

Shredded cheese, I stock up big time if it's $1.25 or less per 8 oz. Cheese has gone up within the past few months, I can rarely get it for that price anymore. The 8 oz packages come in more varieties than the larger packages, too, so sometimes that affects my purchase decision more than the cost. (Scandalous, I know. )

I love good sharp cheddar chunk cheese, but it disappears within a couple of days around here so I only buy it occasionally.
