I get the sales ad mailed to me straight from the printer because Kroger does not send one them out where I live (I live 2 miles outside the city limits?!). This is how I get the ad so early, normally on the Saturday before the next sales week.
Well, in this past Saturday's envy, there was a letter stating that they will no longer mail the ad out because the ad "can now be found online!".

This stinks!! I mean what if...I did not have a computer? UGH!!!! What ever will I do? *back of hand on forehead, lying limp in a chair!!*

I'm sorry this happened to you. I think though that the other poster was laughing at what you said you were doing, not what happened to you. At least I think that is what they were referring to.

Welcome to what most other Krogers customers are used to dealing with. It stinks, b/c you end up scrambling for coupons praying they'll arrive on time. Yeah, tons of fun.

True, I hope that is the case...The last flyer I will get is July 16th. So sad....I am sure it is because of higher postal rates. I guess now I will have to find a region that we follow and hope that we get the same deals.

I got that letter in mine too.

Only, my ad had been getting here on Tuesday, so only 12 hours or so before the ad went up online...so I guess it won't change much for me.

I was getting it in the mail when I lived in Memphis but after I moved down here I called and asked to be put on the mailing list twice and I never have gotten one in the mail. It is irritating to have to wait until the ad is actually active to have to see it. I was in the store on a Monday shopping and two of the employees were talking about the next week's sales and looking at an ad. I asked if I could see it and they said that they weren't allowed to show me the ad until it was valid. When one walked off (while I was still trying to select my yogurt), the other came over and did tell me which brand of yogurt was going to be on sale in a couple of days in case I wanted to wait to buy it, but he acted like he was afraid he was going to get in trouble or something. I told him that I used to get the entire ad early and he was shocked.
