Now to figure how I can get what I need with the whole limit on number of products when using a coupon policy :/ Do you know if it is 5 items of the brand or like items? Because it sure would make it easier if I could do 5 of each type of tomato per trip!

That's a great question...here's what I've seen...when I used my Dole coupons...the ones for any Dole fruit (mand oranges, pineapple or tropical fruit) I went to the manager and asked if I could 5 coupons on pineapple and 5 coupons on oranges? She looked at the coupons, talked to a different person and then agreed that it was fine. She said when I got to the checkout line just to grab her so that she could give the thumbs up.

When I got in line (I went at night...rare for me...but I was with DH and kids) I put all my oranges together with their 5 coupons and then all my pineapple together with their 5 coupons (this was a $0.50/2). The cashier wasn't paying attention and rang them through (all 20 cans...so not two orders) and then scanned all 10 coupons and the computer didn't beep.

Now...I don't know about you...but these days the Kroger computers beep almost all the time, so I was shocked.

With respect to the tomatoes...the coupon specifically states ANY tomatoes 11-14.5 oz. Personally I've always taken that to mean it includes tomato paste as well...but I'm not actually sure that's true.

Either way (LONG WINDED ANSWER )...I'd go to the CS desk and tell them that you want to buy quite a few different types of tomatoes. You triple promise you aren't going to clear ANY shelves with your purchase (which is really what managements trying to prevent). And you wanted to know if you were allowed to use 5 of the $0.45/3 coupons on type A tomatoes and 5 of them on type B tomatoes and 5 of them on type C. Or did they require it to be 5 on ALL the types. I, honestly, would be surprised to find out if they wouldn't allow you...but it will come down to stock I think.

Let me know what they say if you would. I plan on asking my manager before I order any. There is no reason to order a bunch if it is going to be a massive issue to use them. Make sense?

Went today. I can confirm the following prices:

Hunts Diced Tomatoes (paste was also part of deal but about 10 or 15 cents cheaper per can, cant remember exact price though) - $.58 after mega deal discount

Velveeta - $5.49 after mega deal

Digiorno Pizza (only certain ones were marked) - $4.49 after mega deal

Uncle Ben's Ready Pack Rice, Fast Cook Box, and Regular Box - $1.19 after mega deal

Reynolds Foil, Heavy Duty Foil, and Liners (tho I think the coupon omits liners, so I got two 50ft heavy duty rolls) - $3.26 after mega deal

Post Cereal (check prices at scanner! Even tho it was labeled as mega deal sale, my coco pebbles did not garner mega deal price but the family size fruity pebbles did!) - $1.99 after mega deal

It seems to me that everything in Kroger's web list is currently included, too, but I couldn't get prices on everything, lol. HTH someone! :)

ETA: Also, it seems that you simply have to get more than 10 items to get mega deal price on each. I went in planning for 20 items thinking I had to get sets of 10, but when the coco pebbles did not ring up mega deal price, my reciept said at the bottom "19 items Mega Deal" and I got mega deal price on everything else.

According to the database there was a coupon in the SS 1/15 for Hormel Chili. I went through the Cincinnati coupons and it was on a 2 page spread with ribs, chili cheese dip, pizza dip and a hormel party tray with a big "great food they'll crow around" at the top. However, my MIL who lives in South Carolina didn't get the Chili one, she just got the pepperoni and the barbeque one. So it will depend on your region with respect to whether or not you got it.

joeswife...here's how it works...

It all has to do with COUPONS! So you are limited to the quantity on the coupon. You are allowed up to five (5) manufacturer coupons (NON-IP) per product. So I'm guessing if your item says say $1/100, you could technically get 500 items. But I'm guessing the manager would probably step in or better yet you'd probably have a problem finding that many

But with the hunts tomatoes coupons that says $0.45/3, on that coupon you can buy 15 PER set of coupons on EACH ITEM. Now...I've been through this with my customer service quite a few times and we now what "item" means. It is per UPC code. SO...it isn't Hunts tomatoes...it is per UPC code. So you can buy 15 basil, 15 plain, 15 xyz, 15 qrs. Now, I don't know how much you want to push the system. I've done it with two items...meaning I've used the DOLE coupons $0.55/2 coupons and bought 10 pineapple and 10 oranges and had no issues. I used it yesterday used $0.75/2 Quaker Bars and bought 10 25% less sugar Chocolate Chip and 10 25% less sugar Peanut Butter and didn't have an issue. But I haven't tried doing 30 in one transaction. I just don't want to push my lucky...know what I mean. In the next day or so I do plan on doing more of the ones above but making sure that I break up my transactions but use the 5 like coupons on different products (meaning UPC codes) on the separate transactions. While I don't want to push the computer, I don't mind breaking up my transactions and putting them in separate transactions. Keep in mind that the 5 coupon limit is PER STORE VISIT. So, you can break out your transactions to do say (5) $0.75/2 Quaker Bars on Chocolate Chip in transaction A and then transaction B do (5) ) $0.75/2 Quaker Bars Chocolate Chip.

I will suggest with the above information, talk to Customer Service BEFORE shopping. It would seriously stink to do the above and then find out your Kroger disagrees with above. Just b/c that's the correct way doesn't mean your Kroger's going to do it.

For example...I had an IP with the word Walmart on it. Kroger WILL accept it. I know for sure because the previous Moderator asked corporate and there hasn't been a change in policy that I can find. But the manager yesterday said b/c that word was on there (didn't say redeem ONLY at WalMart, just had the logo)...they wouldn't accept it. Threw EVERYTHING off. UGH! So just a heads up on that one and the Honey Bunches of Oats coupon...that's going to be a YMMV coupon.

If above didn't make sense...let me know and I'll try to clarify...I have a tendency to be VERY wordy
