I have some of the buy 10 get 5 free powerade coupons. At one store I went to they deducted 5.00 for each on because they ring up 1.00 each. At the other store they deducted 2.50 for the .50 mega sale price. Which was the correct deduction? It makes a huge difference if you have several coupons. Thanks.

They should take them off at $5. Here's the thing. The deal is buy ten items get $5 off your total purchase which in effect lowers all the prices by an additional $0.50. BUT the actual price of the item is the sales price which in this case I believe is $1.
I am 99% sure I am correct that you should be buying 10 at $10 and using the coupon to save $5. Which if you were only buying these would mean you were getting them free plus tax (don't we have to pay tax on these... I never remember what exactly gets taxes liquid wise)
Does that make sense. If you have your receipt take it to customer service. Say...I used a coupon just like this that says buy 10 get 5 free. I bought 10 and only got 2 and 1/2 free because someone applied the mega deal to the coupon. But the mega deal isn't off a specific price it is off your total purchase.
If the customer service persons thinking about it, they will see what you are saying. Either way, it should be $5. Now what happens...I can't promise.
Good luck! If you have any doubts about how a place is going to take a coupon like that...I usually run up to customer service before I even shop and make sure I am on the same page. So that way when I get in line and I have an issue...I can have cs come over and help clarify.
HTH?
(ignore the typos...using my iPad...and it just adds and removes letters)
