wow .. 800??? who the heck has to room to house all that detergent .. I don't have a Kroger's ... talk about ruining it for the rest of us!
Okay, this is not meant as a debate or a slam on anyone here, so let's keep it civil. This is more a reminder of how to be a good Kroger shopper and keep your managers on your good side. Everyone has different consumption needs and shopping needs. Some of us feed our families, extended families, food pantry....but with the recent rumor of the 800 Purex, I just thought it would be a good idea to revisit this topic. Yes, Kroger does offer unlimited doubles. And yes, we all stockpile. But we encourage responsible stockpiling, meaning 1)spreading out purchases among many stores and or trips if possible, to make sure others get in on the deal 2)asking your manager to do a special order for large quantities.
Buying blatant huge quantities in one fell swoop calls unfair scrutiny to all couponers. It does not just tick off other couponers, but also managers, because non couponers also may not get the deals. Yes, Kroger should do a better job anticipating deals and ordering/stocking properly, but even if there were not 800 Purex, I have personally witnessed some pretty bad shelf clearing.
I take pride in HCW and the great, ethical people we have here. Let's all remember to be reasonable and not to buy, say, 50 of something at once (without special ordering.)
Thanks again, you all rock.

Definitely sounds like someone who has a business, or does flea markets or something. Wonder if they had to ring them all up in sets of 2????
If it isn't free.....it isn't for me!
Whether or not that rumor is true, I think we have all witnessed some serious shelf clearing. I think we should all remember to use our common sense and courtesy.
I know that Krogers has unlimited doubles BUT I really think that there should be a limit as to how many of each product can be purchased in ONE day .. like I said, it's people like this that give couponers a bad name and ruin it for the rest of us.
I am still trying to figure out how that person was able to get all the detergent into their vehicle :shrug7:
800...it had to have been multiple trips. But then agian maybe the were in a cargo van? wow!!!!
And whether or not this instance is entirely true, as I said we have all seen the blatant clearing. My point is more to remind people not to cut off their nose to spite their face....these people will not only ruin it for others, but themselves too!
And I thought I was a bit piggish in buying 10 Purex on the one and only day I will shop during the Daytona!

one shelf cleaner can ruin it very quickly for every one else...my local kroger changed there policy of unlimited same coupon to 2 like coupons period in one day because someone came in with over 50 of the same coupon and cleaned the entire shelf of beechnut baby food and then rang them up in one order....talk about sticking out like a sore thumb...ruined the nice and easy story.
