major overcharge on meat

My husband went to the store last night and must have been hungry. :) He picked up a Tenderloin that was on sale for $5.99/lb - yellow sticker on it. When he got home we looked at the receipt because it seemed pretty high to me for all the coupons he used. They did not give the sale price on the beef! They charged him $18.36 MORE than it should have been. I'm guessing that if I take this receipt to the store (with the meat tag) they will refund that difference? Otherwise we would never have bought it - and it's already cut up and in the freezer! :shrug7:

When I was overcharged for meat, I took the sticker from the package, put it in a ziploc bag and took it back to the store with my reciept. Of course it was the next day, and yes I had already cooked and eaten it, so they refunded the difference for me.

I would call the store first and ask for the store manager, explain what happened. They should refund the difference.

I agree. They should help you out. I once returned a steak to Krogers that was totally gross. I won't go into details. There was no hassle at all.
