Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. What the shelf stability on it?

I don't use it ALOT.. but i use it occasionally. I don't want to spend a ton of money like i did on ribeye steaks ($75) after someone BEGGED me for them.. and then let the freezer burn to death :-/

manders13, If you take the ground beef and wrap it really well, I think you can easily get 6 months in a deep freeze out of it. If you have one of those vacuum sealers, maybe even longer. According to the USDA, for best "quality" you want to only freeze it for 3 to 4 months. I know I have pushed it beyond that, especially with ground beef/sirloin, which I generally use in something else anyway. According to the USDA, steaks should keep 4-12 months in a freezer. However, I think with steaks it is tougher, because if you don't really seal it like with vacuum system, (Alton Brown would say) the ice crystals act like little knives and cut at the texture of the meat, so the end result is not yummy. =)

Thanks for checking. I know someone will have it on sale sometime soon...they always seem to include it in one of the sales every fall. Maybe next week!

Does anyone think the nature valley granola nut clusters, bars, or fiber one is a good deal. I have several $1/1; 50/1 and 40/1 that makes them 4 boxes/2.00 and 4 boxes for like 2.40 and then one would be 4 boxes for 2.80. i think 16 boxes will cost something like 9.20 now, that being said... can anyone tell me what flavor/flavors fiber one is best.... and for the nature valley nut clusters..any suggestions on flavors?? never had these... thanks. also does anyone know if the fruit 20 waters are still $1.00? till when?

I like the fiber one chocolate (chunk?) bars. They are really good. Do NOT buy the chocolate mocha ones unless you really love coffee flavored stuff. They are very strong tasting. I haven't tried any other Fiber One bar flavors, and unfortunately I've never had the NV clusters. I like the peanut butter Nature Valley granola bars.

I think $0.50-$0.75/box is a decent price, but I look for $0.50/box as a stock up price. Just my opinion though--I haven't been doing this very long.

    HTH!

Don't forget though there are nature valley shortcuts and cellfire so 2 packages very cheap! I like the chocolate chip fiber one bars.
