Reuse your bag for 3 cents off

Kroger, nor any stores near me are doing this yet unfortunately. However, when I was in New York the stores I went to there were - it was .03 for the plastic and .05 for the canvas, and they just counted how many I had to start with and at the end if they didn't use them, they just put them in each other to carry out.

My Publix had stickers for your windshield to remind you as you were getting out of your car.

And from what I understand, next year Walmart wil charge you if you don't bring you own.

The Kroger stores I go to have always done this 'cents off' if you bring your own bag. They call it "Bag Sense". I always just reused their plastic bags. I would put all the bags I had in front of my order, and the cashier would just count them and give me the credit. And it used to be 5 cents per bag. I didn't know they lowered it to 3 cents. Bummer.

Meijer gives .10 for the use of canvas bags.

This may be a silly question :) So, I can take any bag (plastic from any Grocery etc. store, canvas, etc.) into Kroger & they will give me 3 cents off per bag that I use?
