Default Price Check: Organic Milk

Anyone know what the cheapest GALLON of Organic Milk sells for at Kroger?

I want to do the Nabisco free milk deal, but I'm not sure off the price of organic milk. I know I'll only get max of $4 off, but I'm trying to figure out if it'll be cheaper than purchasing it at Costco.

I also know that milk prices vary from region to region. But, any estimate would be helpful.

I'm in Atlanta, GA if that helps.

Also, does Kroger sell a Kroger Brand organic milk?

EDIT: My ad shows the Horizon milk for $5.99 a gallon. So, basically I just need to figure out if there is a generic brand that is cheaper.

Thanks!

Yes, Kroger's brand of organic milk is Private Selection. I've never seen the PS in a gallon size but I believe the half gallon price is $2.99. I normally buy Horizon as I have coupons for it.

Where did you find your coupons?

I checked the database and it listed a printable. But, when it printed it said 1/2 gallon on it. :(

a half gallon of Kroger brand is 3.29. The full gallon of Horizon is like $5.99 here.
Be careful with Horizon, though -
The Cornucopia Institute

Not sure if it is worth the money!

Kroger brand rates much better!

The problem is that my coupons are for a free gallon and not half gallon. Also, the Kroger deal in my area is a free gallon.

The coupon is max value $3.99 and the promo is max value $4.00.

Here is what I was thinking:
$23.96 - Milk (5.99 x 4)
$20.00 - Nabisco (2.50 x 8)
= $43.96
- $4.00 - Kroger Promo
- $4.00 - Kroger Promo
- $3.99 - FREE milk wyb 4 nabisco cookies Manu
- $3.99 - FREE milk wyb 4 nabisco cookies Manu
- $1.00 - $1/2 Nabisco Snack 'n Seal Cookies wyb 1 Gallon of Milk Manu
- $1.00 - $1/2 Nabisco Snack 'n Seal Cookies wyb 1 Gallon of Milk Manu
= $25.98

Would it be ok to use all these coupons? I always have a hard time figuring out when it is ok to combine coupons like this and when it is not.

Plus, if I go Saturday, I can use my December Entertainment Book coupon.

I don't think you should also use those 2 Nabisco ($1) coupons. You are getting the milks "free" (well, mostly) already between the promo and other coupons. If you just had $1 off Nabisco coupons, I'd think yes -- but since it's based on the milk purchase, I would say no.

Also, not sure who you are buying the milk for, but if it's for a baby/toddler, I *believe* the Kroger Private Selection brand whole does NOT have Vitamin D added. My DD is now two, so not on whole anymore, but I know I had problems with a store brand. Just be sure to check!!

Great Lakes region has Horizon 64oz 2/$6 this week - don't know if that's good or not.
