Thumbs Down Kroger no longer carries insulated bags.

I stopped at Kroger today to buy new insulated shopping bags only to be told they no longer carry them. Instead they now sell the flimsy foil pizza carrier looking things.

Those are only good for 2 hours at best. And that would be on a cold day!

The best insulated bags I've found are the Rachael Ray bags from Costco. I don't think they sell them currently though. I got them over a year ago.

There are Rachael Ray bags on QVC and Amazon but they're close to $30 for two without including the shipping. The ones I bought at Kroger and Jay C were around $3.00 each, they were made like regular reusable bags except they're insulated with zipper closures. I'm sure they don't compare to Rachael Ray but they worked well enough for the price.

I think they were $14.99 for a two pack at Costco. There was a huge one and also a lunch sized one. I had already put a bigger lunch sized one in my cart that was also the same price. I didn't want to go all the way to the front door to take it back so I bought it as well. They get a lot of use.

Wow, if they are the same ones I saw on QVC and Amazon that is an amazing price. But there's no Cosco around here. There's a Sam's Club about 50 miles away but I don't have a membership and never go there. I will checkout Cosco online but I often find shipping costs when ordering online is too much to be worth it.
