Default Ad/matchups format

I've been toying around with ways to make it a bit more user-friendly.

The past 2 ads have had a TON of 10/$10 items so I split them out from the main ad.

I've also been experimenting with a spreadsheet - similar to what the CVS forum does using Google docs.
Google Docs - Kroger Central 1/23 - 1/30

Please vote and tell me what YOU want to see.

I voted for the spreadsheet- it's easier to read. And, btw- I like the way you separated everything. It makes it a lot quicker for me. Now I can skip over the stuff I don't use/need and locate the things on my list easier.

One thing to consider with the spreadsheet is that you lose forum searchability. If I have a vague recollection that a particular item is on sale somewhere, I can't do a search on HCW and pull up the thread unless the item is mentioned in the thread. This doesn't mean you can't do the spreadsheet, just that you might want to make one post in the thread each week that is just the list of sale items.

Good point Penny - I was just trying to figure out an easier way to display things...But searchability makes sense too...

Actually, the spreadsheet isn't that much more work. AND I'll be able to use it to start building a pricebook - especially for meats.

I'm a geek - I love playing with spreadsheets :)

The spreadsheet was wonderful! I love it, made it so easy to see what to do. I use another site that does something like this and they charge for it! What a wonderful person to sit down and do this for everyone, can you just immagine how many families you help each week by doing this labor heavy task!! Thanks Again!!

Honestly - it's nothing.

I also use the pay site for Meijer(until my current subscription ends). I believe this is just as easy as long as you put a little time into it. The ad takes me about an hour to type (with interuptions) and the matchups 1-2 hours if I can't get the magic mod tool to work right (it doesn't like my home PC).

And like I said in the OP - I plan to hang onto the weekly Excel sheet so I/we can start a pricebook.
