| Re: Roll Call for Kroger (Indiana/Illinois) Hi everyone!!
I'm from Bloomington, IL, and we have 3 Krogers here...one of them is my usual (Oakland Ave.) and they take internet coupons so long as they don't beep, and also they double all coupons up to 50 cents....no limit on the number of like coupons allowed. They are awesome about taking coupons and I've gotten to know a few of the cashiers well enough for them to help me out with anything they can, and they are always happy for me to save so much money!
I had a problem at a different Kroger (College Ave.) about week or so ago where the c/o I had for the one item I was buying didn't double and she said it must not be doubles that week...but our ads are for all 3 stores, and they have always doubled, all the time. And they've always doubled everything before, so not sure what was up with that. The cashier was not about to figure it out either, so I simply left without the deordorant I was going to get for 24 cents. LOL
I rarely go to the other Kroger on Main St., but I have used coupons that doubled there before, but don't really know how coupon friendly they are overall.
Will look forward to chatting with you all!! |

| Re: Roll Call for Kroger (Indiana/Illinois) Hi there! I'm from Eureka, IL and usually come to Bloomington for grocery shopping. I had a really crummy experience at the Kroger on College as well. The cashier just didn't want to mess with my coupons. I had the cashier give my coupons back along with the receipt and I promptly went up to customer service where they gave me back $4 more in coupons that I had coming to me. It pays to be persistant. At least now I know what cashier NOT to use. Perhaps I'll start visiting the store on Oakland....

| Re: Roll Call for Kroger (Indiana/Illinois) Hello fellow Central IL couponers!!
Sorry to hear there have been other problems at the Kroger on College, too.
I tried out the Kroger on Main last week, using the Excedrine coupons, and also doing the deal with the *buy 4 products, get $4 off instantly* deal....I had tons of c/o's for these products - I ended up with over 50 boxes of Milk & Cereal bars, carabou granola bars, fruit gushers, nature valley granola bars, etc... for very minimal money!! Even went to the Kroger on College and everything went well there too!! Whew!! And of course the one on Oakland was as good as always!! I love the cashiers there, they're very helpful and supportive of coupon use. (minus 1 or 2 of them, that luckily I don't see often due to my usual shopping times.)
How are you all liking Schnucks and Meijer? I'm having a ball there too...loved the c/o in the Schnucks ad this past week, spend $50, get $10 off. took my hubby with me and he did one transaction and I did another. After coupons and both $10 c/o's, we ended up with $142 worth of groceries for $52. I'm going back tonight before this sales week ends. I've got about $54 more to spend, and it'll only be $18-$20 oop after c/o's!!
And I'm really excited about Meijer this week too, with all the 10/$10 deals...I wanted to go today, but my aunt just had knee surgery last Thursday and she can't drive herself anywhere yet, and she wants me to take her with me when I shop this week. I'm teaching her the ropes and she's totally addicted and catching on pretty fast actually - but she likes to go with me and see the deals i'm donig so she can learn better that way too. Tomorrow I'll pick her up and we'll run to Meijer....I've got 9 transactions worked out for about $225 worth of gorceries that will only cost me $80 oop, plus I'll have a $10 gas gift card from one of those purchases from a cat I got there last week (spend $40 get $10 gas)!!!
Happy shopping!! |
