[QUOTE=jaws1;2989926]IMHO:
The so-called extreme couponers make up a small portion of customers and Kroger has not been forced to limit coupon use because of the trend, he said.
"But we're certainly keeping an eye on the industry," Dailey said.
Not forcing a limit huh... interesting. Wonder if he's been around my neck of the woods lately.
Considering every store I've been to around Central Illinois has a sign laminated and posted at the Customer Service Counter that now states they will only double 2 like coupons and accept 10 like coupons for a product without doubling, I'm pretty sure they do have a coupon policy.![]()
I'll give corporate the benefit of the doubt even: It may not be a corporate policy, but the managers in over 7 stores in Central Illinois have the exact same sign posted in the exact same locations that state this new policy. Could it be something from the managers? Maybe, but I find that very hard to believe. And if that was the case, who's to say you couldn't go to corporate and have them "adjust" the policy to their non-existent coupon policy by calling the Customer Service Line and have them re-issue doubling credit to your Kroger Card? And if managers are allowed to invoke policies, which from what I understand they can, then corporate needs to state that information so that it is accurate.
In the end, I don't stockpile on such a large basis to need, say, 10 coupons for the same item doubled, and I'm sure many others are like me (will wait for the next MQ & good sale cycle), so this policy change-- that "doesn't exist" according to corporate, but does in Central Illinois-- really doesn't affect me that greatly. There's my two cents for the day!![]()
